Welcome to Maribor! Maribor is the second largest city in our small country Slovenia and capital or region called Low Styria. It has almost 95 thousand habitants who can be very proud of their sunny and historical meaningful city. City is very attractive for different kind of people because is wonderfully nestled in the embrace of the green Pohorje Mountains on one side and the picturesque wine-growing hills on the other. The city is located by the Drava River and in its centre grows the oldest – over 450 years old – vine in the world. Without a doubt we can say this is the most important wine-growing area in Slovenia and you should definitely try some of the Styria wines. Near the Maribor, on the border with Austria, you can find wine road with special heart-shaped road. We warmly suggest visiting it, because usually you don’t have a lot of opportunities to experience such a romantic view. Maribor has also rich and various architecture and some historical monuments you mustn’t miss during your stay in this lovely city. Almost all of them are situated in the city centre. The most significant are Franciscan Church, Plague Column and Maribor Town Hall. Beside all the green areas and just amazing city park, where you can take a nice walk on the promenade and sit down a little bit by the small lake, you will love also hills around the city.

Pohorje is well-known destination for hiking and skiing in the winter time. This time you probably won’t have time to check it by yourself, but you are more than welcome to visit Pohorje when you will need to recharge your batteries and want to enjoy your time surrounded by quiet and nature. Every year in Maribor you can visit traditional summer event called Festival Lent, where people are hanging out by the river and enjoying themselves with good food and wine at several different concerts. If you are wondering why people in Maribor and other cities, which are under Styria region, are so close and connected, simple answer is sport. Not just any sport, but football. When games come on schedule, the whole city turns in violet colour, everybody rush at the stadium to support their team (NK Maribor) and stick with them in good and bad times. Although Maribor is a small city you can find here anything you want and wish for. Lots of good restaurants, wine bars, University, many of nice churches, shopping centres, cinemas, theatre etc. At the first sight you might get impression that this little city is too calm and sometimes even boring to spend more days visiting it, but Maribor has to offer you plenty of places for hiking, running, swimming, horse riding or any kind of other sports. For those who are more lazy kind of people we can recommend sitting on a terrace with a glass of good wine and our traditional Slovene food. We hope you will like your time spend in Maribor and that you will return to it again at different kind of occasion.

General regulations for the judge IMPORTANT NOTICES The exhibitors are responsible for the welfare of the dogs at a FCI international dog show. It is forbidden to expose a dog to a situation that can be dangerous for its health and welfare, such as for example leaving it in the car in excessively hot or cold weather and/or treating it in a cruel manner. Violation of this ruling will result in exclusion from the ongoing and future dog shows. All dogs should be kept on leash at all times and muzzled if aggressive. Exhibitors are responsible for any damage caused by their dogs. The organizer refuses all responsibility. Exhibitor's complaints will be dealt with at show only. Personal data protection notice The exhibitor agrees that the show organizer processes and uses the collected personal data for the dog shows purposes and allows publishing of these data as well as of the show photo material. Decisions of Commission for Professional Questions of KZS and FCI Conclusions 1) Use of chemical substances in dog grooming is prohibited. 2) Double handling and placing dog against dog is prohibited. 3) Any aggression is immediately penalized by the disqualification of the dog. 4) In Deutscher Boxer dogs of brindle and yellow colour are joined when there are 15 or less dogs entered. 5) Cropped or docked dogs, born after 1.1.2015 cannot be shown. Exceptions are docked dogs for medical reasons with veterinarian certificate enclosed with the entry form and presented to the judge at the show. Complaints Any decision made by a judge regarding the qualifications, awards and placing is final and indisputable. However, complaints about the organisation of the show and about the procedure followed to give the qualifications, awards and placing are admissible and have to be made immediately in writing and against the deposit of 100 EUR as surety. If the complaint is found to be unjustified, this surety will be handed over to the organiser of the
CLASSES Champion Class: Compulsory for Slovenian Beauty Champions, optional for international and foreign FCI champions. Dogs entered in this class compete for CAC SLO and CACIB and must be at least 15 months old. Working Class: Minimum age 15 months and reserved for the dogs entitled in this class according to the FCI rules. Competition for CAC SLO and CACIB.

Open Class: Minimum age 15 months. Dogs in this class compete for CAC SLO and CACIB. Intermediate Class: Dogs from 15 – 24 months. Dogs entered in this class compete for CAC SLO and CACIB. Junior Class: Dogs from 9 – 18 months. Dogs entered in this class compete for Junior Winner.
Puppy Class: Dogs from 6 – 9 months. Minor Puppy Class: Dogs from 4 – 6 months. Veteran Class: Dogs from 8 years and over. These dogs do not compete for CAC SLO and CACIB. Brace: Dog and bitch of the same breed, variety and owner with the positive grade on the show. Breeding Group: At least 3 dogs of the same breed and variety, bred by the same breeder with positive grade on the show.
QUALIFICATIONS AND TITLES The judge may give in all classes except minor puppy and puppy following qualifications: Excellent Very Good Good Sufficient Disqualified / Cannot be judged The four best dogs in each class are placed provided that they have been awarded the qualification of Excellent or Very good (1st place – 4th place) The judge may give in minor puppy and puppy classes the following qualifications: Very promising Promising Not promising The judge may give to dogs which have been awarded Excellent 1: CACIB Reserve CACIB CAC SLO Reserve CAC SLO Junior Winner Best of Breed – BOB Best of Opposite Sex – BOS

Explanations CACIB The only dogs which can be considered for the CACIB are those which have been awarded CAC SLO in Intermediate, Open, Working or Champion class. Reserve CACIB The Reserve CACIB can be awarded to the second-best dog in competition for CACIB. CAC SLO The only dogs which can be considered for the CAC SLO are those which have been awarded Excellent 1 in Intermediate, Open, Working or Champion Class. Reserve CAC SLO The Reserve CAC SLO can be awarded to the second-best dog in competition for CAC SLO.
Junior Class Winner The title Junior Winner is awarded to dog with Excellent 1 in Junior class. Veteran Class Winner The title Winner of Veteran class is awarded to dog with Excellent 1 in Veteran class. Best Of Breed – BOB And Best Opposite Of Sex – BOS The best male and the best bitch are chosen after judging of each sex. The Junior Class Winners, the CACIB Winner and the Veteran Class Winner compete for best male and best bitch. Best male and best bitch compete for Best of Breed (BOB) and Best of Opposite Sex (BOS). Junior Class Winners also compete for Best Junior of Breed. Veterans with excellent 1 compete for Best Veteran of Breed.
