Retail Glasgow ... St Enoch Centre

S

t Enoch Centre is located in Glasgow's busy city centre, one of the UK's top shopping destinations outside London nd has played a part in the city's life for more than 200 years. St Enoch Square was originally opened in 1783 as a grazing area for sheep and since then it has seen some of Glasgow’s finest landmarks come and go. The St Enoch Railway Station first opened its doors in 1876 and the St. Enoch Hotel followed in 1879. When the Hotel closed in 1974 the site was used as a car park until 1985 when work started on St Enoch Centre. Since opening on May 25, 1989, St Enoch Centre has consistently led the way for

unique Glasgow independents too and while most big stores and malls are conveniently located right in the heart of the city centre, make sure you jump on the Subway to the West End where many other retail delights await you.
