Fees $7*/participant/half day $10*/participant/full day *Plus applicable taxes Minimum of 10 participants or equivalent fee on all workshops Workshops Morning session — 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Afternoon session — 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Flexible hours also available upon request

Programs Nature Detectives Become a world class nature detective and uncover the secret world of plants and animals. Using magnifying glasses, binoculars and other tools, explore the incredible world of the urban forest.

Forest Games Learn about forest survival (of people and animals) through a series of fun games. Younger campers will participate in animal games and and other challenges.

Predator vs. Prey Learn about ecology by becoming part of the natural food chain in this educational game of survival.

Citizen Science Discovery Program Participants become scientists in this program. Each group will have a chance to contribute research to databases while exploring Downsview Park. New Water in the Park

Learn more about the exciting world of water by exploring Downsview Park. Participants will explore the way water helps our Park while participating in some water experiments. Please note: Participants may get wet in this program and should bring a change of clothing.

Outdoor Cooperative Games Challenge your group in a series of fun outdoor activities that encourage teamwork, creative thinking and problem solving.

New Food in the Park

Explore food and food issues through garden activities, pollinator games and a forest wild food walk. Creepy Crawlers Ever wonder about the insects that call Downsview Park home? In this program, students will dig in the mud, explore logs and use magnifying glasses to see the insect world. Art in the Park

Stewardship Programs (Spring/Fall ONLY) Invasive Species Removal (age 8+) in Downsview Park. Participants learn about how Invasive Species are changing Canada’s ecosystem what you can be done prevent invasions in your neighbourhood. This program involves invasive species removal (changes based on need/season) Tree Planting Investigate the important role that trees play in an urban environment and get your hands dirty planting in Downsview Park.

Creativity is at the heart of this program! Participants explore the beauty of nature and create their own art using natural materials in our urban forest.
