Este mes, es en el que festejamos a las reinas del hogar, a las madres de todo México, es un pretexto perfecto para apapacharlas y quererlas más de lo que ya las queremos; es un día en donde las consentimos, las llevamos a comer o a cenar algún lado, que las atiendan, pero sobre todo que la familia esté reunida para celebrar este día tan especial, todo el equipo de dos8 las felicita y les desea todo mejor en su día. Entrando a la edición del mes del Mayo, comenzamos agradeciendo a la guapa Renée Camarena Martínez quien, con un grupo de niños, engalana nuestra portada de este mes, ella es una mujer empresaria que con dos amigas más, lograron traer Gymboree a Puerto Vallarta. No dejen de leer la entrevista que le hicimos, ya que está muy interesante. Traemos una cobertura especial sobre la modelada de Vallarta Fashion Awards, la cual fue a beneficio de los Programas de la Mujer del Sistema DIF de Puerto Vallarta. Este evento se llevó a cabo en el patio de los Arcos del Club Regina y fue muy bien conducido por Norma Ruvalcaba. Uno de los eventos exclusivos que tomamos, fue el 6to torneo de Golf Rotary a beneficio de la construcción del Refugio del Amor, este torneo se realizó en el campo de Golf Flamingos y por supuesto que dos8 fue invitado a cubrir este evento, checa la cobertura especial que se le dio. This month, in which we celebrate the Queens of our homes, the mothers of all Mexico, the perfect excuse to hug and love them even more than usual; it is a day for us to take care of them, to take them out for lunch or dinner and specially it is a day for the family to be together to celebrate, all the staff from dos8 congratulates them and wishes them the best in their day. Starting this month edition, we want to start by thanking beautiful Renée Camarena Martínez who, along with a group of kids, brightens up our cover this month, she is a business woman who along with two friends, achieved to open a Gymboree to Puerto Vallarta. This event was at the Regina Club and was hosted by Norma Ruvalcaba. Redfoo en Strana Más que excelente resultó el evento que se llevó a cabo en Strana el jueves 17 de abril, ya que se presentó Stefan Kendal Gordy, más conocido por su nombre artístico Redfoo, cantante, compositor, bailarín, DJ y rapero estadounidense, que forma parte desde el 2006 del dúo musical de electro pop, LMFAO, junto a su sobrino SkyBlu. El evento, organizado por FT Producción por parte de Fernando Trujillo, congregó a más de 1300 personas que gozaron de esta mágica noche, disfrutando de este gran músico cuyas canciones más escuchadas son “Party Rock Anthem”, “Champagne Showers, “Sexy and I Know It” y “Sorry For Party Rocking”. Un suceso sin precedentes.

Mi primera vez con una podóloga fue una experiencia fuera de lo común. Tome un servicio que llaman Pedicure Clínico. Fue algo nuevo en mi vida porque como caballero no me había hecho uno jamás y no me veía en un salón de belleza con los pies a la vista de todo el mundo mientras una chica me limara las uñas y me limaba los talones con una tabla, y usaban los mismos instrumentos que usan con todos los clientes. La experiencia fue totalmente diferente a mis expectativas. La Podóloga, toda una profesional en uniforme impecable. Me sentaron en un sillón reclinable y cómodo y me ofrecieron una bebida de cortesía. La podóloga dio principio revisando cuidadosamente los pies por todos los ángulos posibles, me encontró en la planta unas pequeñas protuberancias callosas producidas por el tipo de calzado que usaba, los talones un poco engrosados y reflexioné que mis pies me habían estado doliendo y yo pensé que era por otros motivos. Se puso guantes y roció los pies con una solución antiséptica. Colocó trocitos de algodón impregnados en un líquido especial en las uñas, cutícula, y callosidades. Me mostró un paquete sellado de instrumentos médicos esterilizados, lo que dio mucha confianza. Y usando un instrumento que no provocaba ninguna molestia empezó a remover la cutícula de las uñas con gran facilidad. Luego con una alicata cortó con mucha precisión las uñas. Saco una hoja de bisturí nueva y empezó a hacer una especie de raspado en las callosidades de la planta y los talones con mucha facilidad. Yo me sentía muy complacido porque me había imaginado que dolería y que
My first time with a podiatrist was an experience out of the ordinary. I had a service called Clinical Pedicure. It was something new in my life because, as a gentleman, had not made me one and I never saw myself in a beauty salon with feet in view of everyone while a lady was sanding my nails and heels, and using the same instruments used with all customers. The experience was totally different from my expectations. The Podiatrist, a pro in immaculate uniform. I sat in a comfortable reclining chair and offered a complimentary drink. The podiatrist started making a carefully reviewing of my feet from all possible angles, found me on the soles a little calloused bumps caused by the type of shoes I wore, also my heels slightly thickened and reflected that my feet had been hurting and I thought was for other reasons. She put on gloves and feet sprayed with an antiseptic solution. She placed pieces of cotton soaked in a special liquid nails, cuticles, and calluses. Terminó envolviendo mis pies en toallas calientes lo que le dio un toque de excelencia a su servicio. A salir del cubículo privado de la podóloga lo primero que sentí fue los zapatos muy grandes debido a que mis pies estaban menos hinchados y la sensación de pisar es totalmente diferente, me sentía ligero y no me dolían los pies en absoluto. Me hice consciente de lo importante de tener los pies sanos y bonitos (que no es lo mismo), y más cuando por el verano usamos sandalias y huaraches. Fue inevitable convertirme en un cliente frecuente. En las siguientes visitas la podóloga me mostró que también aplica tratamiento para las uñas enterradas, uñas con hongos y tratan muchas enfermedades que afectan los pies. Además aplica esmaltes de color cuando las señoras quieren también la parte estética. Los novios se presentaron ante el altar junto a sus orgullosos padres, los señores Juan Carlos Ríos Camarena y Sol Martínez Maciel, por parte de Vanessa, y Jesús Ramírez Ló-

The couple took the important decision of getting married after being dating for two years. The emotional ceremony took place in the church La Santa Cruz at La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nay. Giving them his blessing Father Antonio Hernández Martínez, Vanessa´s cousin. The bride and groom came to the altar along with their proud parents, Mr. Juan Carlos Rìos Camarena and Mrs. Sol Martínez Maciel, Vanessa´s parents and Mr. Jesùs Ramírez López and Mrs. Piedad Oliva Larios, Victor`s parents. The excellent environment of the reception was in charge of the jazz group “Ensamble Maestoso” and the DJ César Lara of LARAUDIO GDL. The bride and groom danced the walls with the theme “A thousand years” of Christina Perri, which was witness by all the guests, but before that they enjoyed the transmit ion of an emotional video that the bride and groom recorded , where they interact with each other having a lot of fun. There were also fireworks and an environment filled with good vibe and happiness that was enjoyed by the bride and groom and by all their family and friends who attended this celebration, toasting for the newlyweds who are in Asia for their honeymoon.

Universidad Vizcaya visitan Ciudad de México Con el fin de enriquecer sus conocimientos gastronómicos, los alumnos de la carrera de Gastronomía de la Universidad Vizcaya, hicieron una visita a la Ciudad de México. La estadía duró 4 días, en la que los jóvenes estudiantes visitaron varios lugares de interés para su carrera, entre los más destacables restaurantes especializados, pastelerías, mercados, fábricas gourmet y sitios históricos que forman parte de nuestra cultura gastronómica nacional.

Renée es una arquitecta, exitosa empresaria y orgullosa mamá de un pequeño de 10 años llamado Sebastián, y queriendo conocer más sobre su vida personal y profesional, llevamos a cabo una interesante entrevista. dos8: ¿Cómo inicio la aventura de Gymboree?
Renée: Cuando nació mi hijo, conocí Gymboree y ¡me encantó! Encontré un espacio donde tenía tiempo de calidad con él y disfruté cada instante al ver los procesos de su desarrollo. Años más tarde, vine a vivir a Vallarta, y al no haber Gymboree en esta zona, vi la oportunidad de traer a Vallarta esta Franquicia. Renée: Ver la sonrisa de los niños día a día. Conocer e incluso hacer buenas amistades con las familias de Gymboree & Kindergym. Promover el desarrollo de los pequeños y ayudar a sus padres a entenderlos mejor. Es el compromiso que adquirimos hacia los bebés y los adultos que ingresan a nuestro programa y significa una gran responsabilidad que debemos cumplir. Las familias que deciden inscribir a su hijo en Gymboree, están confiando en nosotros para que su hijo pueda desarrollar todo su potencial du-
rante los primeros años de vida y también están esperando que los apoyemos para ser mejores padres y que puedan acompañar a su hijo a lo largo del camino. dos8: ¿Cuáles han sido los retos a los que te has enfrentado? Renée: Formar un equipo profesional, sólido y armonioso, ya que el trabajo en unidad y con un mismo propósito es la base para alcanzar la visión que tenemos en nuestro proyecto. dos8: ¿Cuál es tu opinión sobre la mujer en estos tiempos? Renée: Desde hace muchos años, la mujer se ha involucrado no sólo en las actividades domésticas y educación de los hijos, sino también en el área laboral, empresarial, política y social. Para mí es muy satisfactorio obtener este éxito profesional, pero la clave es buscar el equilibrio, para cumplir con el papel de esposa, madre y empresaria. dos8: ¿Qué consejo le darías a las mujeres que quieren ser empresarias? Renée: Elegir un negocio que te apasiona, conocer tu mercado, medir tus recursos, encontrar una buena ubicación, hacer un buen plan de negocio y una buena campaña de publicidad y mercadotecnia. Trabajar fuertemente y nunca darse por vencida. dos8: ¿Crees que la mujer pueda llegar a puestos importantes en Vallarta? Renée: ¡Sin Duda! En la dirección de empresas turísticas y comerciales se encuentra un gran número de mujeres destacándose por su excelente desempeño cada día.
dos8: Cómo mamá joven ¿cuál sería tu consejo para las nuevas generaciones? Renée: La familia tiene una importancia fundamental en la construcción de nuestra sociedad y nuestro futuro. No podemos perder de vista la inmensa responsabilidad que tenemos como padres, debemos trazar con empeño el camino que queremos recorrer junto a ellos. dos8: ¿Cuáles son los valores que les inculcas a tus hijos? Renée: Amor, respeto, honestidad, responsabilidad y perseverancia.

Renée: El fragmento del Poema de Pablo Neruda: “Queda prohibido no sonreír a los problemas, no luchar por lo que quieres, abandonarlo todo por miedo, no convertir en realidad tus sueños.” dos8: ¿Cuáles son tus proyectos a corto, mediano y largo plazo? Renée: Seguir capacitándome en el área de educación y estimulación temprana y durante los próximos 2 años consolidar Gymboree & Kindergym para dar el próximo paso.
dos8: ¿Cuál es tu opinión sobre la cuestión empresarial en Vallarta? ¿Es sólo turístico? Renée: Es un hecho que el turismo es la principal actividad económica de la región. Sin embargo, es una ciudad que está teniendo un crecimiento muy marcado en los últimos años. La construcción y el comercio también están tomando fuerza con mucha rapidez. dos8: ¿A quién admiras? Renée: A mi papá. Él siempre ha sido mi ejemplo de amor y perseverancia.

Renée is an architect, a successful entrepreneur and a proud mom of a little guy named Sebastian, and wishing to know more about her personal and professional life, we conducted an interesting interview. dos8: How does the adventure of Gymboree started? Renée: When my son was born, I knew Gymboree and I loved it! I found a space where I had quality time with him and I could enjoy every second of his development. Years later, I moved to Vallarta, and since there wasn’t Gymboree here, I saw the opportunity of bringing this franchise here. Later on, I met two friends that made this dream possible. dos8: What has been your greatest satisfaction at being in charge of Gymboree? Renée: See the smile of the children day by day. Get to know and make good relationships with the families of Gymboree & Kindergym. Promote the development of the kids and help the parents understand them better. That is the commitment we acquire towards the babies and the adults that enter our program
and it is a great responsibility that we have to full field. The families that decide to enroll their kids in Gymboree trust in us for their children to develop its maximum potential during the first years of its life and they are also hoping that we will support them to be better parents and being able to walk with their children along the way. dos8: What are the challenges you have face? Renée: Put together a professional, solid and harmonious team, since working as a unit and with the same purpose is the foundation to reach our vision for our project. dos8: What is your opinion about women in these times? Renée: For many years, women have get involved, not just in domestic activities and in the education of their children, but also in the labor, business, political and social areas. For me it is very satisfactory to have this professional success, but the key is to search for balance, to full field with the roll of wife, mother and entrepreneur. dos8: What is your advice for women who want to be entrepreneurs? Renée: Pick a business you are passionate about, get to know your market, measure your resources, find a good

La feria dio inicio a partir de las 6:30 pm y la organización corrió a cargo de la Directora Irma Rivera y los alumnos desde maternal, hasta 3° de preescolar, participaron en diversas obras de teatro, como” El Sastrecillo Valiente”, “La princesa y el sapo” y “Los 7 cabritos y el lobo”, resultando todo un éxito el evento, mismo que se llevará a cabo cada año. ¡Enhorabuena!
My Small World performs the 1st Children`s Book Fair
The Daycare My Small World, located in Aralias, performed last April 11 the 1st Children´s Book Fair, in which the only requirement to enter was to donate a book, which motivated the attendees to help promote the habit of reading in children. Last April 26 in Punta Pelicanos, at La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, two big events were celebrated with the Chalas Fest: to celebrate the 10th marriage anniversary of Gustavo Chalita and Brenda González, and also the 40th birthday of Gustavo. The big event started at 6:00 pm, to which came a lot of friends and family, who enjoyed a great environment, since the feast was nicely enlivened by the Dj´s Lennon, Alex Mena, Homero González, Inda Sánchez and Charbel Chalita. For dinner they enjoyed delicious sushi, BBQ ribs and paninis. The kids also had a great time, since there were face painters, cartoonists, bungee jump, a mini casino and a zip line. Colegio Fernández de Lizardi El Colegio Fernández de Lizardi realizó en sus instalaciones el pasado 11 de abril, la Feria de Arte, Cultura y Ciencia en su 10ª Edición, dando inicio a las 8 de la mañana y en la que participaron los alumnos desde Kínder hasta Preparatoria, todo con el apoyo y orientación del Maestro Víctor Castelán. Entre las actividades que se tuvieron ese día, estuvo la presentación del tema sobre Leonardo Da Vinci con los alumnos del preescolar, kínder y primaria. Los de prepa explicaron su proyecto en el laboratorio.

6to Torneo de Golf Rotary 2014 Con gran éxito se realizó el pasado 5 de abril, el 6to Torneo de Golf Rotary 2014 a beneficio de la construcción de la Casa Hogar Refugio de Amor. Sixth Rotary Golf Tournament 2014 With huge success was performed last April 5, the 6th Rotary Golf Tournament 2014 in benefit of the construction of the Home “Casa Hogar Refugio de Amor”. The organization of the event, that took place at the Golf Club Flamingos, located in Becerìas, was in charge of the Rotary Club, Autoser and Careaga Foundation. At the tournament participated 64 contestants, in teams of 4 and in male and male-female categories, from 8:30am to 1:30 pm. Vallarta Fashion Awards 2014 El pasado viernes 4 de abril, en punto de las 6:30 pm, se realizó el primer Vallarta Fashion Awards 2014, todo un evento de moda y glamour a beneficio de los programas de la Mujer del Sistema DIF Municipal de Puerto Vallarta, que preside Magaly Fregoso Ortiz, presentando la colección de los diseñadores Naya Arroyo, Aline Moreno, Eduardo González, Edgar Lozano, Sigi Contreras, Ángel Grave y María Rosario Mendoza. El evento fue conducido por Norma Ruvalcaba en el Patio los Arcos del Hotel Club Regina ubicado en Marina Vallarta. Los asistentes apoyaron con un donativo y participaron en la rifa de un exclusivo y hermoso collar del diseñador Sigifredo Contreras, además disfrutaron de los bocadillos, canapés, sushi y cocteles ofrecidos por Kensao, Portobello y Barra Bar. El evento contó con la presencia de Fher vocalista de Maná, el presidente de Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Ismael del Toro y la presidenta del Sistema DIF de Tlajomulco, Patricia Lozano de Del Toro. Ellos son hijos de los señores Lidia De Almada Baptista y Herculano Da Rocha Bastos, por parte de Keyla Sofía y por el lado de Antonio, los señores Elba Camacho Fregoso y Antonio Topete Palomera (+). Además, los novios estuvieron acompañados por sus padrinos de honor, los señores Juan Luis Topete Camacho e Ireri Topete Camacho. Posterior a la ceremonia religiosa, los nuevos esposos, junto con sus familiares y amigos disfrutaron de la fiesta en su honor, la cual fue organizada en el Salón Elite ubicado en Fluvial Vallarta, en la estuvieron cuidados todos los detalles, haciendo de la celebración un elegante evento. The bride and groom were also accompanied by their godparents Mr. Juan Luis Topete Camacho and Ireri Topete Camacho. After the religious ceremony, the newlyweds, along with their relatives and friends enjoyed the party in their honor, which was organized by the Elite Salon located in Fluvial Vallarta, every detail was very carefully taken care of, making the celebration a very elegant event. The guests, who arrived at 9:00 pm, tasted an exquisite banquet that consisted of Cesar salad, chicken breasts stuffed with chipotle sauce and for desert exquisite chocolate cake. They danced their first waltz as a married couple to the song “I can`t help falling in love with you” by Elvis Presley, later on, their guests danced for several hours congratulating and wishing the newlyweds all the best before they left for their honeymoon in Costa Rica and Disney World in Orlando, Flo.
