ROYAL ACADEMY YOUNG ARTISTS' SUMMER SHOW

ART

We are so excited to share that two of our students have been selected to appear in the Royal Academy Young Artists’ Summer Show 2023!

Now in its fifth year, the Young Artists’ Summer Show is a free, open submission exhibition for students aged 4–19 studying in the UK. Artworks are judged by a panel of artists and arts professionals, with selected artworks displayed online and on-site at the Royal Academy of Arts.

Albert and Raphael, Year 7, submitted their work, New York High Street, and were selected from over 21,000 other submissions! We’re so proud of their achievement and would like to say a massive well done.

You can view their work alongside all the other selected artworks at the Young Artists’ Summer Show online exhibition, or in person at the Royal Academy from 18 July – 13 August. We’ve also included it below.

New York High Street

We wanted to make a collaborative drawing and we decided on a high street in New York. The picture features a scene with shops such as Burger Queen, Gucci, and The Tiny Nail Salon, and there is a burglar robbing Gucci and the police are trying to catch him. There is also an evil donut and coffee factory that are poisoning their products. We have made a joint drawing before and it's really fun. Here we drew two shops each and collaborated on Gucci. We hope you enjoy our drawing!
