1. One Chapter member seeing Rev. Fr. Provincial in a pensive mood, whispered to his nearest neighbour, “Fr. Provincial looks very much concerned concerning the concerns of the Province.” 2. Fr. Policarp Xalxo sdb, Principal, Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, smartly presented a special need of the said college to the Chapter. In conclusion he hopefully said, “This morning I have earnestly prayed for all of you. I hope all of you will consider our case favourably.”

FINAL PROFESSION

Nine of our clerics dedicated themselves to the service of the Lord and his people in perpetuum as they made their final Religious Profession in the presence of Rev. Fr. Nestor Guria sdb, Provincial, on 22 May 2016. The ceremony of the religious professions was held during the Eucharistic celebration in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Imphal in Manipur. The ceremony was attended by many Salesians, priests, religious and laity including a group of 56 youth who are members of the Catholic Youth Association and Catholic Junior Association from Christ King Parish, Kohima. The generous clerics who made their final profession are: Cl. Anal Ruwnglal Augustine, Cl. Gangmei Jaojian Daniel, Cl. Gonmei Jimmy, Cl. Kiro John Paul, Cl. Nayak Kuldeep Angel, Cl. Pfozhe Adani Mathew, Cl. Dihe Elow Lawrence, Cl. Kashungnao Frank and Cl. Athikho Kholi George (in Shillong).

FIRST PROFESSION

In a moving religious ceremony during the Holy Eucharist in St. Maria Goretti Church, Zubza – Kohima, 16 young Novices made their first Religious Profession in the presence of Rev. Fr. Nestor Guria sdb (Provincial), Fr. P. M. Joseph sdb (Novice Master), Fr. Elow Samuel sdb (Parish Priest of Sechu – Zubza near Kohima), many concelebrating priests, religious and laity including many parents and relatives of the Novices. The newly professed Novices are: Kapeo Timothy, Kharia John, Kindo Nikhil, Kujur Bimal, Kullu Probin, Newme Isaiah, Panmei Ignatius, Reamei George, Seyievizo Sylvester, Thaimei Reuben, Thamunga Augustine, Thamungnga Anthony, Thangkholal Khongsai Vincent, Toppo Binoy, Kujur Amit (ING) and Monsing Phangcho Moses (ING).
