Connecting with Customers and Guests As you’re probably aware by now, relationship building is what a Mary Kay business is all about. Typically, a customer, hostess or team member comes from your ability to personally connect with them. An I-story is an effective tool for making that connection by telling them something about you and the Mary Kay opportunity. I-stories are usually shared at skin care classes and other selling appointments as well as at team building appointments. It’s a good idea to keep your I-story simple. It should be heartfelt, enthusiastic and brief.

Developing Your I-Story Try including the following essential elements when developing your I-story: 1.
