November 2009 the big challenges in the carcass-work phase. Our innovative formwork solutions are there to help our customers meet precisely these challenges. Our approach is process-oriented. In other words, our systems have to be matched to each other, they have to be integrative and they have to combine well on site. New system-variable safety systems, moreover, will bring about a definitive improvement in safety on construction sites. At bauma 2010 we will also be presenting a new load-bearing tower that sets new standards for cost efficiency, versatility and ergonomics. A significant saving on weight by comparison with other scaffolding solutions was one of the key design features we wanted built into this new system. In beam formwork we will be launching some major developments geared toward faster forming and minimised material deployment on site. Frami framed formwork and our KS column formwork will be debuting with Xlife panels, because this extremely wear-resistant sheeting ups the number of use cycles. Automatic climbing formwork is one of Doka’s key areas of expertise. What new Doka developments will be drawing all eyes in this branch of construction engineering? One of the things we will be showing is a logical evolution of our TLS Table Lifting System. That combines with another new development, a transporter for

tableforms, and makes forming for floor slabs one hundred percent independent of crane availability. SKE 50 plus automatic climbing formwork was in the prototype phase when we showed it at the last bauma; now it is fully operational and is supplemented by highly efficient shaft formwork designed specifically for working in tight spaces – for example a single climbing unit, positioned centrally, is all it needs to climb the shaft. You also mentioned services. What new developments can the bauma public expect to see here? We are a supplier of complete solutions: throughout the carcass-work phase we provide the backup professional services that construction companies need – that is how we establish the preconditions for speedy, economical forming. Doka's service offerings have been designed accordingly; they are modular, structured to match the various phases in the construction process, and subdivided into clearly defined one-by-one services. Our customers can select the individual services they need from our extensive portfolio, identifying precisely what is necessary for each successful build and benefitting directly from what amounts to a services package tailored precisely to the specifics of the individual project. Many thanks for talking to us today.

New from Doka

Column formwork KS Xlife and framed formwork Frami From now on, all new panels of the Column formwork KS and Frami framed formwork systems will come fitted with the premium Xlife sheet as standard. Its unique plastic coating delivers very high numbers of re-use cycles and a superior concrete finish. The special surface structure prevents flaking and swelling caused by nail-holes. The Frami framed formwork Xlife is now even more versatile, as it is available in panel heights ranging from 1.20 m to 3.00 m.
