The deal with food delivery in Qatar

iving in Qatar amid a global pandemic has seen many changes implemented across the state to keep citizens and residents safe during these unprecedented times. With restaurants and hotels closed as we all practice social distancing, staying in has become the new going out. While some of you may be budding chefs using this time to perfect your signature dish, others are probably getting a bit sick of burning cheese on toast. If you’re the latter, never fear! Because the hospitality industry across Doha won’t let you down. Begone, burnt cheese on toast, and step up to the plate delicious fine dining delivered directly to your door. Not only are you now able to indulge in the fine dining experience at home, but many outlets are also offering discounts on orders. Either they’re slicing off a percentage of the original price, or they’re allowing customers to use their Entertainer vouchers. Ordering in doesn’t have to be as expensive as you think. Talabat: Operating across seven countries in the GCC, this online food-ordering service helps you find restaurants local to you. It also offers a range of filter options, such as cuisine, minimum order amount, ratings, and fastest delivery. Talabat is available in both desktop and mobile app formats, and you can track your order from the moment you place it until it arrives on your doorstep. Standard delivery is QR 10, but many restaurants are waiving this fee during this time. Fee: QR 0 to QR 10 Payment: cash or card Carriage: This app uses a similar operating model to Talabat where you can filter restaurants based on various choices, and track your order from placement to arrival. Standard delivery is also QR 10 per order. Fee: QR 0 to QR 10 Payment: cash or card Snoonu: This app also works similarly to Talabat and Carriage in its food delivery section, although it offers a wider range of other services. It is currently partnered up with Tawar Mall, making its outlets available for home delivery through the platform, including restaurants and cafes. Snoonu also offers seasonal promotions in addition to other discounts. Plus, Snoonu is made in and exclusively serves Qatar. 39
