Remembering So many people know who she was. Many thought that they knew her well. Only a few of us knew the real JANE KAY.

ENEAth thE fEiStY gruff ExtEriOr was a heart of gold. her knowledge of dogs was without comparison. A conversation was an education and a lesson in history. She enjoyed sharing her experiences with others. She got such pleasure out of judging and would often give an exhibitor in her ring a handling tip to help the exhibit to be better presented. her Kayhill Dobermans established records, many of which are unbroken to this day. how she loved Kayhill’s Paint the town red. then there were her Chihuahuas who ruled the Doberman roost. then she got Bayard’s Yodytoo of Kayhill. She showed Yody to her championship and to several specialty wins including Best of Variety at the Chihuahua National Specialty in 2006. i didn’t understand her incredible elation with the win after her years of success. then came the reason. Yody was the first dog that she actually owned on which she earned these wins. how many of us thought that there was no possible new experience for Jane. Jane was neither a gourmet nor gourmand but she surely did like her peanut butter which she often ate with a spoon or out of an individual plastic packet. When the packets were being eliminated i (who loathe peanut butter) bought out four grocery stores and mailed 20+ cases of it to her in florida. She also enjoyed her gin and tonic (only with tanqueray) and taught bartenders around the world how to make them her way. No wonder that i named my top Clumber Spaniel bitch Clumbull tanqueray Jane. i have never had a more loyal friend. Over the past year+ i talked with her every day and each conversation ended with each of us saying, “i Love You”. Jane, i will always love you and never will a day go by that i don’t think of you.
