Turner’s mission-critical work is supported by our Global Critical Facilities (GCF) team. This dedicated and passionate group leverages industry-specific knowledge and creativity to meet clients’ technical needs. Utilizing local, national, and international resources, the GCF team tackles unique project challenges with a broad understanding of economic and emerging technology trends.

Turner has over 1,500 current data center professionals across our company and thousands with data center experience to draw from, accounting for over 19% of our company’s staff.

With over 7,000 total professional staff and 3,000 craftspeople available to draw upon in the United States, Turner has a wealth of staffing resources.

Turner operates projects with full-time professional construction management staff who are Turner employees, not subcontractors.

GCF will overlay with each local office, bringing any resources necessary, transferring best practices and data center expertise as one of the largest data center builders in the nation, providing program continuity to you.

National Mission Critical Team Our National Mission Critical Team will complement the preconstruction and construction delivery of your projects. Typical leadership will encompass Turner’s Mission Critical Leadership, National Equipment Management, and National Preconstruction. Sample roles and responsibilities of the team are outlined below: •

Responsible for working with you to set the overall goals and steps to achieve them for each project. These include developing and implementing process, procedures and guidelines as a means of standardizing communication and procedures across present and future projects

Coordinate an effective project launch, working with local site leadership

•

Provide leadership for the Project to inspire a culture of constant improvement through creativity and innovation

•

Support and lead innovation continuity and continued improvement, capturing lessons learned and communicating them to the Project Team

•

Monitor, coach, train, and maintain implemented systems to assure our team meets the pre-set goals. This includes completing process audits to identify process and communication gaps

Implementing a national team requires minimum oversight from our client’s own personnel and allows for the achievement of maximum effectiveness to launch and manage project.

An important step of maintaining data center reliability resides with the mechanical and electrical equipment selected to power and cool your facility. Having an experienced team to procure, receive, install and commission the equipment functions is as important as its design.

We are redefining sustainability and elevating what it means to be a “green” builder. We utilize our technical expertise to create a healthy, prosperous and sustainable future for our people, clients and the environment. Three pillars support achievement of this vision: Environmental Efficiency, Resiliency and Green Building.

Bought through our in-house supply chain management team, SourceBlue, we have dedicated equipment managers on every major data center project to facilitate the procurement and installation process of data center builds. With MEP Equipment representing over 25% of the value of a completed data center, SourceBlue can deliver 5 - 10%+ more savings— meaning significant improvement on $/ MW for your project.

Being a green builder means more than just building green buildings. In 2019, Turner pledged to reduce our jobsite carbon emissions and water consumption by 50% by the year 2030. By being the first major general contractor to implement a metering program that tracks fuel, water, and electrical consumption, Turner has been able to make data-driven decisions to actively reduce our impact on the environment and save real costs.

Offsite construction is transforming the construction industry and driving traditional building activity away from the project site and into safer and more efficient manufacturing-like facilities reducing the need for overtime and weekend work.

Active caring is demonstrated through the actions and behavior we use every day to foster a workplace environment where all people demonstrate the highest care for each other. Our industry and our workplace are not immune to the racism and bias that is present in our communities and society. We are taking steps to eliminate hate and bias in the workplace. When capably delivered, offsite construction can be a key driver of construction productivity - contributing to improved project schedules, reduced cost and budgets, improved site safety, enhanced quality, and reduced waste. Incorporating an offsite approach early in the design process will ensure that we address all potential prefabrication opportunities resulting in the highest quality, while reducing schedule and cost.
