Concordis Partnership Packet | August 2026
Concordis + Christian Halls International + Southeastern University Assessment-based college credit aligned to the Concordis Integrated Humanities ERA model Prepared for headmasters, guidance counselors, and partner schools as Concordis leadership finalizes the Concordis-specific course map and prompt recommendations.
1. Partnership Overview Concordis, Christian Halls International (CHI), and Southeastern University (SEU) are building a pathway that allows students to continue the work they are already doing inside the Concordis model while also pursuing college credit through SEU assessment-based courses. The goal is not to replace Concordis coursework, tutorial rhythms, or portfolio habits. The goal is to translate strong existing work into a structured college-credit pathway. This packet is written as a practical school-facing guide. It explains the partnership, clarifies the September 21 request deadline, outlines the onboarding sequence that follows, and includes the Concordis-specific course map and ERA-alignment recommendations developed with Bill Stutzman and the Concordis team under Heather Lloyd's leadership. ● Students stay rooted in their Concordis Humanities studies instead of shifting into a disconnected outside curriculum. ● Schools can identify strong-fit students and courses first, then complete onboarding and registration in an orderly sequence. ● Guidance counselors and headmasters gain a clear operational pathway for moving from interest to official registration. ● CHI and SEU can size sections, prepare support, and finalize setup once projected student demand is known. 2. Why the Model Fits Concordis Concordis schools already operate with many of the structural ingredients that make an assessment-based pathway compelling. Concordis organizes learning around rotating historical eras, cohort progression by level rather than only by grade, integrated humanities across history, literature, and theology, and meaningful written and oral work that naturally lends itself to portfolios, prompts, and demonstrations of mastery. Concordis Distinctive
Why It Matters for College Credit
Four rotating ERA cycles:
The SEU course list can be curated by era so students pursue

credit in the same historical and literary season they are already

studying.
Integrated humanities model
Students are already building cross-disciplinary knowledge through reading, discussion, writing, and theological reflection. Assessment-based courses are well suited to students who
Portfolio-minded work
already produce sustained written work, oral presentations, reflections, and evidence of mastery.
Cohort and level flexibility
Schools can place students thoughtfully instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all grade-level credit model.
3. How Assessment-Based Courses Work In an assessment-based course, college credit is earned through required SEU assessments rather than through a separate day-by-day replacement curriculum. Students remain anchored in their Concordis readings, writing, tutorial discussions, and portfolio work. They then complete the required SEU submissions that demonstrate college-level mastery within the official university course structure. For the Spring 2027 pilot, schools and students may build toward those assessments throughout the 2026-2027 school year. The key pacing point is that students should be prepared to submit their work through the SEU online course during Spring B 2027, which the official SEU Network calendar lists from March 10, 2027 through May 4, 2027. In practice, that means many students will benefit from sharpening their portfolio and assessment work intentionally beginning in January 2027, with submissions starting in March. Concordis Partnership Packet | August 2026
● Concordis continues to provide the local educational environment, mentoring, and curricular formation. ● CHI helps align the right SEU courses, assessments, and onboarding steps with the Concordis school's plan. ● SEU remains the university of record for application, course registration, official grading, and transcripted credit. ● Students do not receive credit simply for participating in Concordis coursework; they must complete the required SEU course steps and assessments. Working academic picture Students complete the Concordis work they are already doing in class and portfolio form. The Concordis-specific SEU course map identifies which university courses best match that work in a given ERA. Students submit the required SEU assessments and course deliverables in the university process. Successful completion yields official college credit through Southeastern University.
4. Concordis Course and ERA Alignment The table below identifies the SEU assessment-based courses that align with each Concordis ERA. Directors can use it as a quick first step when considering course options for their schools and students. Detailed recommendations and guidance appear in the appendix. SEU Course Code COMM 1443

* Great Books 1 may be challenging because The Odyssey is currently a Secondary Prep text and is not read by all Concordis students at the Secondary level. Students may be required to re-read this on their own. ** For Great Books 4, Assessment 3 may align more naturally with Early Modern work; this recommendation should be confirmed before advising students.
5. Implementation Path for Schools The operational key is sequence. Concordis schools should begin by identifying likely students and likely course choices, then move into the formal onboarding and registration work after CHI and SEU can see projected demand. Step 1. Review and match

6. Student Eligibility, Course Load, and Costs Schools should review these participation requirements with students and families as they identify candidates for the assessment-based pathway. ● Students must be at least 15 years old and may participate only until their 20th birthday.
Concordis Partnership Packet | August 2026
● Advanced 14-year-old students may be accepted with parental authorization. ● Students move into the undergraduate bracket when they declare graduation from high school. Student Level

8. What Happens After the September Submission Once CHI has the projected student names and requested courses, schools can continue through the full onboarding and registration pathway. The sequence below reflects the CHI process documents and the partnership details described for Concordis. Phase
What Happens
Phase 1: Partnership
CHI confirms demand, schedules the initial interview, and connects the

school to the correct account manager and support contacts.
Phase 2: CHI onboarding
Phase 3: School-hall setup
Phase 4: SEU readiness
Phase 5: Student application and registration
The school works through program planning, MyHall setup, paperwork, and required training or orientation steps. If the school uses a school-hall structure, it can submit a student spreadsheet for roster creation and coordinated setup. CHI and SEU establish the relevant location code and student application pathway for the Concordis implementation. Students apply to SEU, then headmasters or guidance counselors coordinate final registrations from the approved student lists so students are ready for the Spring 2027 pilot submission window.
9. Roles and Responsibilities Role Concordis headmasters and guidance counselors
Primary Responsibility Review the packet, identify candidate students, select likely courses, send the September 21 request list, and support final applications and registrations. Finalize the Concordis course map, ERA alignment, and school-facing

11. Final Action Summary The partnership can move forward cleanly if schools keep the sequence simple: review the opportunity, identify likely students and courses, submit projected interest, then complete the formal onboarding and registration work. This allows Concordis schools to act decisively without waiting for every administrative step to be finished first. Immediate Requirement

Spring 2027 pilot timing The pilot semester begins in Spring 2027, but students can build toward their assessments and portfolios throughout the 2026-2027 school year. Students should begin focused portfolio and assessment preparation in January 2027 so they are ready to submit work starting in March. The official SEU Network Spring B 2027 term runs from March 10, 2027 through May 4, 2027.

Appendix A. Course Alignment Matrix Quick reference: select the Concordis ERA, open the linked syllabus, and use the recommended assessment and prompt numbers below. Please note that recommended readings in the prompts are just suggestions and can be substituted with other works in the Concordis framework that match the spirit or intent of the prompt. If you don’t see a match, it does not automatically mean that student could not pursue that particular assessment, though it should be a close substitute, Wherever there is as strong match and alignment, that selection is preferred and encouraged.
