UNIFORM POLICY 2026-2027

GENERAL POLICY Valleydale Classical Academy’s Uniform Policy is driven by a desire to cultivate a professional culture that is neat, orderly and honors God in our attire. This policy is based on the following principles: Boys Hair must be kept in a traditional boys haircut, above collar and neatly groomed No coloring or unnatural look of hair permitted. No distinctive lines or different lengths of hair No earrings, body piercing jewelry or visible tattoos Watches are allowed; they cannot make noise, have smart technology, or be cumbersome to wear. If watches becomes a distraction the teacher has the discretion to request it be removed Shirts must be tucked in Belt must be worn Girls Hair must be natural colors, feminine and neatly groomed Hair accessories must be fitting to the style of the uniform, which is modest and conservative Primary students: no makeup or artificial nails Stud earrings are allowed and must be classy and fitting to the uniform, no more than two per ear; no body piercing jewelry Watches may not make noise, have smart technology or be cumbersome to wear If hair accessories or jewelry become a distraction, the teacher has the discretion to request they be removed Bloomers, bike shorts, etc. must be worn under skirts or jumpers Our school plaid is Clear Blue Plaid from Lands’ End. Uniform items with plaid and tops with logos must be purchased from Lands’ End. Otherwise, items may be purchased anywhere, as long as they match the Lands’ End styles in the following pages.
