Helena Huyke, a first grader at Stone Creek Charter School, holds up her Birds of Prey poster, autographed by five members of the U.S. Ski Team. The athletes were practicing at Beaver Creek this week, and stopped by the school to sign the posters and answer some questions.
U.S. Ski Team athlete Marco Sullivan has some moves. He showed off this little jig, which he said he does before races, to the students of Stone Creek Charter School this week.
Thank you to the Eagle River Inn, the best family and big group lodging in all of Eagle County. Old Dog and Cass Galloway made the Ute Indian Snow Dance possible with their immense generosity and by hosting their guests at the Inn the past weekend. Joe, the Inn manager, was also extremely helpful in making their guests feel at home in Minturn and showing them what a great, small town we live in. Maloit Park, Beaver Creek and Vail were all blessed through the ceremonies and the Ute Indian Snow Dance was a great community event, where the two cultures were able to gain further understanding.
