SHOULD JOIN. I TOOK HER WORDS AS AN EXAGGERATION AT THE TIME, BUT AS MY EXPERIENCES IN THE CLUB GREW AND THE NUMBER OF SMILES I WITNESSED THROUGH/BECAUSE OF THE CLUB ROSE, I THEN CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THOSE WORDS WERE NO EXAGGERATION AT ALL. SERVING BECAME A PRIVILEGE A PRIVILEGE THAT I AM FOREVER INDEBTED TO KEY CLUB FOR THE GIVEN OPPORTUNITY. SO WHAT DOES KEY CLUB MEAN TO ME? THERE IS NO DEFINITE EXPLANATION AS MY TIME IN THIS SENSATIONAL CLUB CONTINUES TO GROW, BUT I CAN SAY FOR CERTAIN THAT IF I HAD NEVER MADE THE WONDERFUL DECISION TO JOIN KEY CLUB, I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE JOYS OF GIVING BACK TO MY COMMUNITY AND LEADERSHIP THROUGH SERVING OTHERS. I COULD NOT EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE THE COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF LAUGHTER, JOY, AND FELICITY THIS CLUB HAS OFFERED ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE COMMUNITY SERVICE AND HELP OTHERS. KEY CLUB TO ME IS NOT JUST A CLUB, BUT A FAMILY, A PERSONAL SUPPORT SYSTEM, AND A PLACE TO CREATE HAPPINESS THROUGH THE HAPPINESS OF OTHERS. THE KEY CLUB EXPERIENCE THAT I PERSONALLY HAVE HAD THE MOMENTOUS PLEASURE OF LIVING THROUGH IS TOO GREAT TO EVER BE EXPRESSED IN WORDS, BUT IF I COULD CONDENSE IT ALL INTO ONE, NO OTHER WORD WOULD BE BETTER TO FILL THIS HEAVY BURDEN THAN THE WORD “EXTRAORDINARY”. THE FIRST TIME I MENTIONED KEY CLUB TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS THE QUESTIONS WERE ALWAYS THE SAME: “WHAT IS KEY CLUB?” “DO WE MAKE KEYS THERE?”. TO MY FORTUNATE SURPRISE, IT WAS QUITE FAR FROM THE MANUFACTURING OF KEYS. I CANNOT BEGIN TO EXPRESS HOW GRATEFUL I AM TO THIS CLUB AND THE PEOPLE INVOLVED FOR FOREVER HAVING SUCH AN IMPACT ON MY LIFE. MY SISTER ESPECIALLY, A PAST PRESIDENT OF KEY CLUB, ALWAYS TOLD ME HOW GREAT IT WAS AND HOW ME AND EVERYONE I KNEW

Continuing the Mission

With a new set of officers this year, the club has been renewed and our goal is to strive for the great and improve our community. By setting new standards and adjusting the requirements to be considered an active member of the club, we hope to increase the number of people participating in fundraising events and volunteering opportunities. One of the main objectives for this year is to increase member participation in fundraising and volunteering events throughout the whole year. In this meeting, I hope to invoke the same feelings I had when I first arrived at these auditorium doors to the new members of Key Club and to begin a new chapter with everyone involved to make a stronger community together. This new year brings new beginnings, and I am proud to be a part of this new chapter. Nguyen

Now that the baton has been passed to me, I am delighted to introduce our new members to the world of Key Club. For the first Key Club meeting this year, we have many things in store for our members, old and new. We plan to introduce the new officers of Key Club and go over how the club works while encouraging current/new members to recruit their friends to join. By doing so, we can broaden our family to help give back to our community even more so than before.

Last year, around this time I remember opening the doors to the auditorium and walking in, little did I know the choice I had made to attend the first meeting of Key Cub would create a second home for me. Furthermore, learning about the objectives of Key Club taught me the goals of helping our community by giving back to it with volunteering.
