Hugo Alan Ramirez (February 20, 2000 – July 5, 2021) De La Salle High School Alumni Hugo Alan Ramirez ’18, who completed his third year at Sonoma State University, was struck by a car and killed at the age of 21. Hugo was a pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business financial management. A former soccer player at De La Salle, Hugo was one of the team leaders and was a part of the 2018 team that won the NCS Championship. Hugo was the oldest of four sons (Matthew ’19, Max ’21 and Sebastian ’21) to parents Rosie and Hugo Ramirez. This September, Hugo’s family established an Endowed Memorial Scholarship as a lasting tribute to Hugo’s legacy on the De La Salle campus, to provide tuition assistance to a Spartan student that demonstrates financial need, while also being a leader in the classroom, in his co-curricular activities, and in his community.
