Wadena’s Madhatters Community Theatre group has entertained audiences for many years. To help entice kids into drama, Madhatters, with the help of Five Wings Arts Council, also sponsors a summer drama camp for ages 9-18. www.madhattersinc.org

The annual Christmas Festival has brought artists and art lovers together during the weekend after Thanksgiving for 30 years. The festival is held at Wadena Memorial Auditorium and Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary School.

Serving the Wadena area and beyond, the Maslowski Wellness and Research Center is owned and operated by the City of Wadena. At ‘The Mas,’ staff strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone can create their own healthy lifestyle. The center has something for everyone. With over 57,000 square feet, ‘The Mas’ contains a six lane lap swimming pool, zero-entry recreational pool, 90’ water slide with various other water features. A sauna/steam room, whirlpool, warm water therapy pool, two racquetball courts, state-of-the-art fitness facility with a walking
track, and a multipurpose gym that contains court standards for 3 volleyball courts, 3 basketball courts, tennis and pickleball courts. The Mas also offers a variety of programming for all ages and levels including Red Cross Swim Lessons, fitness classes and winter leagues.
