Located in northern Portage County, and perfectly situated approximately 45 minutes from three of Northeastern Ohio’s major metropolis centers; the village of Garrettsville is a great place to live, work, and visit. At the heart of our village is the James A. Garfield Local School District, rated one of the top districts in Portage County. Thanks to the dedication of parents, faculty and students the district has continued to earn high ratings from the State. Last year the district will constructed a state-of-the-art addition at the elementary school; creating a unified Campus of Excellence, and opening up the Park Avenue building to a partnership with the Greater Cleveland YMCA. Garrettsville’s village council truly cares about the citizens, and has continued to plan for the future and protect the welfare of our friends and neighbors. With a well-trained and fully equipped police, fire, and ambulance service; emergency services are available to all residents on a full-time basis. Beautiful and affordable homes are available for purchase as well as rentals and new housing opportunities. Garrettsville’s three village parks afford opportunities for outdoor sports such as: basketball, tennis, soccer, baseball and softball; in addition to playgrounds, a skate park, and picnic pavilions. The village is also home to a fantastic 18-hole golf course, bowling alley, roller-skating rink, renovated three-screen cinema. Garrettsville Summerfest, held in conjunction with the St. Ambrose Chicken Festival, is one of the region’s most popular summer festivals—drawing over 20,000 people into town over the last full weekend of June. This year’s three day event will be held June 26th–28th, and will feature three stages of entertainment, two parades, tons of contests, and a bevy of rides, and food. The Village of Garrettsville is fortunate to have a wealth of service and volunteer organizations meeting weekly and monthly. Always eager to welcome new members, fresh talent, and innovative ideas the Garrettsville-Hiram Rotary, Curtains Up Theatre, Western Reserve Kiwanis, Garrettsville Lions Club, and Fraternal Order of Eagles are some of the outstanding organizations helping serve the community. The Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce is one of the most active chambers in the region. Welcome to Mantua! The Mantua-Shalersville Area is in the heart of the Western Reserve. Quaint Mantua Village has a historic downtown with beautiful architecture and many businesses that run along State Route 44 and the various side streets. The village park is a busy hub of recreational activities including basketball, baseball and children enjoying the playground. The park also boasts a canoe launch. The Portage Hike and Bike trail, a treasure to our area runs through Mantua and Shalersville. The Townships are home to agricultural and sand & gravel businesses as well as residents that enjoy country living. The Mantua-Shalersville Area Chamber of Commerce is comprised of nearly 80 members who share a love for our community. We have a wide variety of businesses, ranging from local eateries, business support services, automotive services, industrial and manufacturing corporations. We are an active chamber, hosting a variety of networking and community enrichment events each year. Our networking activities include Business After Hours events, monthly business meetings, a Summer Luncheon, Fall Steak Fry and Holiday Social. Each year, we host a Scholarship Golf Outing from which profits fund three $750 scholarships awarded to Crestwood seniors. We organize a Giving Tree Program which provides less fortunate children with a gift at the holidays. A popular summer event is the Community Wide Garage Sales. Businesses and residents have sales, drawing large crowds from all over Portage County looking for a great bargain. We strive to provide benefits to each of our members. In addition to our networking events, we also have an “Email Blast” program. Members can send out an email regarding their specials, or news of their business to our database of over 400 business and community individuals. Our website is also an effective marketing tool for our members. All members are listed on the Member Yellow Pages. The website includes information about the community, upcoming chamber events, and other important information visitors searching the site are happy they found.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to the City of Streetsboro and personally thank you for your interest in our community and Chamber. Streetsboro is poised for new and exciting developments! Located between Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown, our city has become the ideal place to build your business or to call your home. The Chamber and the city of Streetsboro are both anticipating a great future and are focused on building upon the community’s already strong roots. With the support of our businesses, schools, residential communities, and visitors, we know we can achieve our goals. To make the most of your membership, I strongly encourage you to get involved and participate in the activities of the Chamber. As with anything in life, the more you put into the Chamber, the more you will get out of it! There are many opportunities available. Join a committee that focuses on a topic that interests you, sponsor a Chamber event, come and network with other local professionals at our monthly events. I invite you to be an active part of our team and work side by side with business people who are as devoted to the area’s success as you are. I guarantee that you will find your efforts to be rewarding and even fun! This year, the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce has added an array of events to its already diverse program calendar. Unique, high quality lectures, networking luncheons, after hour socials, and special events such as our Employment Expo, Annual Golf Outing, Health Fair and Autumn on the Lake Gala are only a part of our offerings to the local community. I strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of all the upcoming events. As you may know, your membership in Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce also makes you a member of the NOACC at no extra cost. This entitles you to attend affiliate events at the discounted member rate. As well, it is important to remember that when your business joins the Chamber all employees therein are considered members of the Chamber and are similarly encouraged to participate in our events and activities. We recently partnered with COSE to offer our members even more benefits. If you are already a member of COSE and of SACC you will be receiving $150 off your COSE dues. COSE offers many additional programs and discounts, including the Energy savings program and the Worker’s Compensation Program.
