The conference provides professionals in early intervention, early childhood special education, and related fields and family members of young children with disabilities an opportunity to learn, network, and collaborate.

DEC/ISEI 2022 OFFERS ACCESS TO CUTTING EDGE RESEARCH AND THE MOST RECENT ADVANCES IN PRACTICES The keynotes, sessions, and poster sessions offer the opportunity to learn from experts in the field.

To receive the discounted rate and be included in the DEC Room Block, be sure to book your hotel reservations online here.

Check-In/Out Time Check-in time is 3 PM, checkout time is 11 AM. All guests arriving before 3 PM will be accomodated as rooms become available.

The Belldesk can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day.

Early Departure Fee If a guest checks out prior to their reserved checkout date, the Hotel will add an early checkout fee to that guest's individual account (currently, one night and room tax).

As you can imagine, hosting an Annual Conference for 1,000+ attendees in any city comes with its challenges both logistically and financially. In order for a host city to even consider giving us the space we need in a large hotel or convention center, we must agree to provide them with a proportionate amount of hotel room night revenue. Basically, in order to reserve enough space for the conference, we have to commit to use thousands of hotel room nights at contracted hotels. If we fail to use those rooms, DEC is fined. When you stay in the official hotel block you are staying at a hotel property that has been personally inspected and vetted by DEC staff for appropriate and adequate levels of quality of accessibility, accommodations, level of service, and safety and security. Additionally, for each night our guests stay in official contracted DEC Hotels, the hotels agree to pay DEC a small rebate. These rebates add up to thousands of dollars and are used to pay for event fees. Removing this rebate means an increased price to hold the conference, which translates into steep registration price increases for attendees.

Some things to remember (to help you self-advocate). . .

Early Bird registration is a bargain and can save your school/program money.

Identify the sessions you'd like to attend. Discuss the sessions you will attend and explain their value and how they will support your professional development goals-and enrich your co-workers' knowledge, too.

Pre-Conference workshops are a great way to enhance your professional development at the conference-- just be aware that there is an extra cost, so you may need to justify the extra expense.

Dear <Colleague>, At Integrating Research and Practice in Early Childhood Intervention - a Joint Conference from Division for Early Childhood and International Society on Early Intervention, professionals at all levels will be brought together to enhance their professional skills, knowledge, and careers.
