The International Festival for Business (IFB) 2014 is the largest global concentration of business events during 2014. The 50-day festival runs across 7 weeks in June and July and will attract business delegates and trade intermediaries from around the world.
Financial support from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and advice from an International Trade Adviser (ITA) has helped specialist spring manufacturer Clifford Springs expand its network in the US and win new contracts. Since working with UKTI, the company has grown its US customer base from one to more than 35. John Clifford, Director of Clifford Springs said, “UKTI’s support gave us the confidence to go out to the US and pitch for new business. We have found that if you communicate well and have a good product, then you reap the rewards.” Over the past three years, John has continued to visit the US twice a year to meet with clients. John also meets at least twice a year with Clifford Springs’ ITA to discuss new exporting ideas and for advice on how to continue expanding its US business.

IFB 2014 offers you the choice of more than 150 business-focused events of all shapes and sizes, covering: “It’s crucial for any exporter to get it right from the beginning and without UKTI we would probably be several years behind where we are now. Although we are now more experienced, we continue to meet with our ITA for advice when we have a new idea. We would definitely advise any company thinking of entering the export market to first talk to UKTI.” www.cliffordsprings.com
