he festival tries to define the essence of design and search for its boundaries. Visitors will be able to see entries in the Back To The Estonian Roots competition, featuring products that have been created using historical techniques. At the Matter exhibition, meanwhile, the look and function of a material will be explored in the hands of different designers, with the display divided into four parts – leather, textile, ceramics/glass and furniture/lights. The festival also features an exciting fashion programme where the topic of heritage is conveyed in the materials and the way of thinking. www.disainioo.ee

естиваль старается определить суть понятия «дизайн» и отыскать его границы. Посетители смогут увидеть работы участников конкурса «Назад – к эстонским корням», представляющие изделия, созданные с использованием исторических технологий и методов. На выставке «Материя» будут изучаться внешний вид и функциональность материалов в работах разных дизайнеров в четырех жанрах: кожа, текстиль, керамика/стекло и мебель/ освещение.
