And he secretly returned to the University of California at Berkeley under an assumed name, finally earning his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences in 1986. He left full-time employment with Apple in 1987, but he didn’t quit the company. He was still listed as an employee of Apple, got paid and he was also a shareholder. «You know what, Steve Jobs is real nice to me. He lets me be an employee and that’s one of the biggest honours of my life,» Wozniak once said. He remained close friends with Steve Jobs until Jobs’s death. «The way I see it, though, the way people love products he put so much into creating means he brought a lot of life to the world,» said Wozniak after his friend died.
