Co-owner Marlon welcomed and guided us to our table to peruse the menu. Explaining his belief in keeping seafood sustainable for future generations, Marlon presented

ALFRESCO DINING COULDN’T GET BETTER THAN THIS! Koi Dining + Lounge Bar has always been the busiest restaurant in Broadbeach and a favourite with the locals. When the team at Dining Out were invited to review this multi-award winning ever evolving restaurant we arrived to find a newly refurbished sophisticated venue that exudes casual classiness.
like chicken schnitzel, and veal medallions in a creamy mushroom sauce that will tempt even the fussiest of diners.
If it’s all about location, Koi is in the prime position right in the heart of the tourist district in Broadbeach - close to the beach, all the shops and nightlife.
Koi has a Kid’s Menu and high chairs, and the waiters offer kid’s activity pack which is a thoughtful touch, but here’s a hint…get in early because Koi gets busy when the sun goes down.
With a very extensive menu, Koi offers something for everyone’s tastes and diet including gluten free and vegetarian options. Their steaks aren’t to be missed either and their seafood platter to share is super fresh and in abundance. There are the old time favourites

LUNCH AT GLASS DINING & LOUNGE BAR, MARINA MIRAGE The elegant cosmopolitan feel of Glass Dining & Lounge Bar, on the water at up-market Marina Mirage, holds a disarming edge of casual that puts us all at ease as we settle in to lunch. The menu aims to please, with gluten-free and vegetarian options clearly marked. We started with a bottle of Chandon and, taking our waiter’s advice, ordered the Sizzling Garlic Prawns. They arrived served in a hot pan with warm crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
There is a sense of agelessness at The Loose Moose, with the unique intricate décor providing a warm and casual backdrop for diners. The North American styled comfort food has a finer dining touch to it, creating unique and delicious flavours across its menu. We started with the moreish Jalepeno Poppers and the Kentucky Buffalo Wings. There are 5 different wings to choose from, with the Volcanic Ass Burner Buffalo Wings being made with the hottest chilli in the world! The Braised Lamb Ribs and Memphis Angus both came with Chimichurri Sauce and were delicious. There are many burgers to select, with the ability to adjust ingredients if you desire. We enjoyed the tasty Pulled Pig, Kentucky Chook and Fisherman Sliders. The highlight of the evening was the pork rib rack, which is slow cooked
Our second selection was the Tempura Zucchini Flowers, which were filled with ricotta, mint, dill & grana padano. A great option for our vegetarian diners. We continued our food adventure with the crispy lamb shirt ribs, which were covered with a sweet sticky hoisin BBQ glaze, kimchi mayo and green onions. And finally, dessert! The Classic Creme Brûlée, served with rich but refreshing cacao sorbet. The crackly toffee on top, yielded to our tapping spoons, revealing the creamy centre… Perfection!

There are several indulgent desserts to choose from, however, we recommend the Malibu Bounty Slice. The lunch/dinner menu is complimented with one of the most extensive drink’s list on the Coast, boasting over 85 beers (25 on tap), over 130 whiskies & bourbons, wines and seasonally infused old fashioned cocktails. Although we only ate from the lunch & dinner menu, the Loose Moose also has an exciting and extensive breakfast menu, winning the best breakfast on the Gold Coast at the 2017 Restaurant and Catering awards.
