No. 18 Rey Feo Scholarship Program

Sponsor: Ruple Properties This year’s Rey Feo is Augustine “Augie” Cortez, Jr.

The common people resented the king for this, and one day a rebellious crowd gathered in the plaza and proclaimed one of their own as “The Ugly King” or “The People’s King.” This was the beginning of what has now become our very own El Rey Feo right here in San Antonio.

The Rey Feo program, a non-profit charitable organization, has raised more than $7 million for scholarships presented to more than 3,000 students with 100 students presently receiving $2,000 for books and tuition. Let’s give a big round of applause for El Rey Feo!
