Dear Readers,

Writing the word “dear” made me think of the fact that you are dear to us at the Front Porch Magazine. Without you, there would be no need to have a magazine.

Our hope is that your summer has gone well, despite the drought, the absence of refreshing rain. It has truly been a hot, dry summer. Certainly, when rain does come, we will be more appreciative of it. Absence of good truly makes one more aware of its influence.

We again are enjoying putting together articles and jokes that we hope will inform you, pull at your heart strings, and make you laugh a little. We so appreciate each writer, and his or her insights and revelations. We know you do too.

For this edition, we have chosen the theme Who’s in Charge because of the many times we Americans have been and are assaulted with the lack of control in so many areas of our lives: physical protection that should be provided, provision of food at a reasonable price, gas that isn’t over 40% higher as it is now, a government that is honest and cares more for its people than its ideology. We hope that you are informed and are challenged by reading the Front Porch this time. So, we present to you his Fall edition 2022.
