Tent Materials
Tent tops should always be made out of flame retardant material. There are two primary types of material – translucent and blackout. Translucent is a lighter material that allows light to pass through. Blackout is usually a heavier material that blocks light and thus more heat than translucent. Many striped tents use translucent material. Pure white tents can use either translucent or blackout material. In Texas, blackout material is typically preferred to assist in decreasing the heat load on guests. Almost all of Rental World’s white tents use the upgraded blackout material.

Tent Cleaning, Storage,
and Material Handling
Rental World has over 30 years experience in event rentals. Our lessons learned, along with industry training, and competitive benchmarking have led to the development of industry leading tent-related processes. These Rental World standards and processes help ensure that our customers receive high quality clean tents each and every rental. TENT CLEANING - Between rentals, each tent is washed and dried, checked for damage, and repaired as needed. Most tent companies do not wash their tents after every rental. When they do wash their tents, most companies use pressure washers, brooms, and sometimes floor buffers. Although Rental World used this same method for over 2 10ft x 10ft Tent Washers 20 years, this manual method simply does not provide the same quality washing as our industrial washers. Rental World’s cleaning methods keep our tents cleaner and brighter than the competition. TENT STORAGE & INSTALLATION - To ensure that our clean tents remain clean and undamaged, Rental World stores each tent in labeled dust free storage boxes. These boxes keep our tents clean, dry, and protected during storage, loading, and transport. During installation and removal grounds tarps are placed under the tents to help ensure that your tents remain as clean as possible for your event. INSTALLATION/REMOVAL MACHINES & TOOLS – Aside from our highly trained teams of tent installers, Rental World has always looked to employ the latest techniques, tools, and machinery to facilitate the safe and expeditious installation and removal of our tents and accessories. We long ago put aside manual sledge hammers and replaced with gas stake drivers. We also switched from manually pulling keder and structure tops to using motorized top pullers. Most recently we invested heavily in Avant wheel loaders
Tent Storage and a full complement of Tent Ox tools and accessories. Tools include hydraulic stake drivers, stake pullers, water barrel movers, ballast forks, and pallet forks, along with several other tools.

Each Avant has giant turf tires like you see on large riding lawn mowers. Thus, our Avant machines have extremely low ground pressure allowing us to use these machines on sensitive grass areas, even when wet, without damaging the grounds. With these machines and their tools, our teams can more efficiently service events.
Festival Booths Rental World has hundreds of colorful, eye-catching booths & tents to satisfy almost any event's booth & tent requirements. Our 8x8 and 10x10 festival booths come in a variety of bright colors. Each festival
booth has a large front area for signage and a rearward sloping roof for a sharp clean look. Each festival booth may be set up as an independent unit or clustered together into colorful pods. Our versatile booths may be set up with open or countered fronts. Full mesh or solid sidewalls can be added instead of or in addition to the standard colored half sidewalls to meet your event's specific requirements.
Along with our standard line of festival booths, each of our frame and frame/cable tents can be set up as a booth with or without counters. In addition, Rental World has a line of aluminum 42�x42� ticket booths with lockable doors and available AC. These ticket booths can be set-up individually or in pods. 40
Pole Tents Pole tents are the industry’s proven tents for all types of events! Pole tents are one of the oldest and most utilized tent designs in the industry. Pole tents range in size from 10x to 120x and come in a full range of colors. Pole tents typically provide the most affordable tenting solution. The most common sizes come in 40ft and 60ft widths. Pole tents always have center poles. On 60ft wide and larger tents, they also have quarter poles, which typically support the tent top half way from the tent edge to the center pole.

Tension Tents Tension tents provide high sweeping peeks for dramatic effects! Tension tents are similar to pole tents in that they also have center poles. Tension tents do not have quarter poles, but sometimes they do have twin center poles as pictured by our 100ft wide tent below. Like pole tents, tension tents must be staked or anchored. They can not be ballasted. Like pole tents, tension tents can be setup in almost any length. Tension tents are noted for their sleek elegant lines, high sweeping slopes, and are most often white. They are used extensively for weddings and other higher-end events. Tension tents generally hold-up better in windy conditions, and some tension tents are engineered. Along with a standard line of white tension tents, Rental World designed a custom line of promotional tents in various designs and colors as shown on page 47. Frame Tents Frame tents provide unobstructed interiors for maximum design flexibility! Frame tents look quite similar to pole tents. They each have constant sloped roofs. However, frame tents have an aluminum skeleton that supports the tent canvas providing an unobstructed interior. The aluminum skeleton provides points to easily hang small items such as lights and drapes. Because of the aluminum frame and assembly labor, frame tents cost more than pole and tension tents. Frame tents can be staked, anchored, and unlike pole and tension tents, ballasted. Frame tents are generally not engineered but can typically take wind loads on par with tension tents. Frame tents range in size from 10ft wide to 40ft wide. Continuous lengths of frame tents are usually limited to about 100 feet. However, Rental World developed its own proprietary system and procedures that enable us to install virtually any length frame tent.

Keder Frame Tents Keder Frame Tents offer unobstructed interiors in almost any length! Essentially, Keder Frame tents are a hybrid between a frame tent and a structure tent. Keder frame tents are quickly replacing many frame tents in 30ft and especially 40ft widths. Like a frame tent, an aluminum skeleton is erected. Instead of standard tubular rafters, the rafters are typically twin tube and contain channels to secure the tent tops. The tent tops have ridges along each side that feed into the channels similar to a structure tent. Keder frame tents are heavier than frame tents, and typically stronger. However, most are not engineered. Like a frame tent, keder frame tents may be secured with stakes, anchors, or ballasts. One big advantage of keder frame tents are that they can easily be set-up in any length because each top is independently installed rather than stretched over the entire frame.

Frame/Cable Tents Great looking high-peak tents with unobstructed interiors! Frame/cable tents (marquee tents) are a hybrid between a frame tent and tension tent. Frame/cable tents have high sweeping peaks like a tension tent but without center poles.

Frame/cable tents have perimeter frames similar to frame tents. In place of rafters, frame/cable tents use cross cables between the frame’s corners. The cables support “flying” center poles. Some frame/cable tents are engineered. Frame/cable tents typically can
handle winds a little higher than frame tents. Frame/cable tents typically range in size from 10x to 40x but are most common in 10x and 20x sizes.

Structure Tents Rental World carries the largest line of structure tents in South Texas! Structure tents are considered the ultimate in tenting. A true structure tent is engineered. With proper installation, many structure tents can handle wind loads from 50 to even 90mph. Most are rated around 60 to 70mph. Structure tents use large aluminum beams with base plates. The base plates are typically staked straight down. Each frame section is constructed on the ground, attached to the base plates, and then rotated into the air. Once several frame 82x246 - Cattle Baron’s Ball sections are in the air, the tops can be pulled across the frame through keder slots similar to keder frame tents mentioned previously. Structure tents do not use exterior guy straps, just the anchors through the base plates. Structures can be ballasted with water boxes or concrete ballasts. Structure tents can be constructed in any length. They are available in widths ranging from 10x to even 200x! All of Rental World’s structure tents come standard on 10’ legs. Our 50x, 66x, and 82x structures can be upgraded to 13’ legs (4m). Partycad Layout
The key to almost every successful event is planning. Rental World understands that technology can be a very powerful tool when used properly to greatly improve the planning process. Rental World designs and lays out many events using our PartyCAD software. With PartyCAD, we are able to digitally design and layout each event in
amazing 3-dimensional detail. From simple backyard parties, to large weddings, to multi-acre fairs and festivals, our PartyCAD software allows us to provide detailed, scaled drawings and renderings. Our software even allows virtual 3-dimesional color walk-thrus that truly allow event planners to gain a unique perspective. For simple layouts, we can quickly layout tents, tables, chairs, and other items based on estimated dimensions or actual measurements. We can also import AutoCad files, .jpgs, and other graphic files. Most often, we download scaled satellite images to facilitate design. Of course, on-site visits are always recommended to check for unseen obstacles and opportunities.

Many of our events have found it extremely useful to have a Rental World event planner attend event meetings. We can show and discuss the event design on a large screen via computer projector and make layout changes on the fly during the meeting. At minimum, e-mailing diagrams for review, discussion, and approval proves to be an extremely valuable tool. The layouts also prove invaluable for maps, discussions with TABC and sponsors, and during event set-up for both event and Rental World staff.

Power Supply & Distribution Rental World carries a full line of generators ranging from 1,000 to 320,000 watts. Small Generators As a Honda Power Equipment dealer, Rental World carries Honda’s full line of reliable portable generators ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 watts. This line-up of generators includes Honda’s super quiet generators that are designated “computer compatible” for their very smooth power output.
Medium Generators Rental World customized our light towers with upgraded generators to produce up to 8,000 watts of regulated power when combined with one of our electrical quad boxes. Our towable welders also serve as 10,000 watt towable generators.
Large Generators Our large towable diesel generators include 45KVA, 65KVA, 125KVA, and 400KVA. Beverage Service Rental World carries a variety of bulk beverage storage and service units for your special event. Rental World listened to customers and developed our custom portable beverage carts. These carts have extra large pneumatic tires to easily move around any event. Each cart comes with 2 large beverage coolers, skirt, umbrella and either “Cold Drinks” or “Cold Beer” signs. We also carry Fill-n-Chill tables that perfectly display cold beverages or food items in a bed of ice. Of course, we carry a number of troughs and large coolers to store ice and beverages.
