tions and history. The Battle of Flowers® Parade 2013 celebrates world festivals and anniversaries. Entries will march, float, ride, drive and fly down the parade route commemorating independence won near and far, journeys and destinations and reminders of our past. Cavalcades and bands delight with their sounds and color! The Aggie Band will once again lead the parade with their magnificent sound and precision marching. We honor our military with the Vanguard Units from area high schools who march the parade route prior to the parade. These units salute an Army Officer at the Reviewing Stand in front of the Alamo. Parade participants are asked to bring a floral tribute to be placed by the San Antonio Academy Cadets on the lawn in front of the Alamo.
