HOW NICK TAYLOR WON
Nick Taylor stretched his final-round lead to five shots with a front-nine 32 at Pebble Beach, but his advantage dropped to two shots after bogeys on 11 and 12 and a double bogey at 14. He recovered with a chip-in birdie at the par-4 15th hole and made birdie at the scenic 17th to close with a score of 70, winning by four shots. Taylor had three eagles on the week, including his first hole of the tournament. Taylor ranked T3 in Greens in Regulation, hitting 54 of 72.
CHECK THIS OUT Nick Taylor shot a first-round 63 and had the solo lead after every round, the first to do so at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am since Phil Mickelson (2005). Canada’s Taylor was the first international winner of the event since Vijay Singh (2004). Mickelson finished third in his bid to win for a sixth time at Pebble Beach. He and Mark O’Meara have each won five. Jason Day has finished in the top five in each of the last four years (T5-T2-T4-4 from 2017-20).
