But what is it? Put simply, it’s a photographic service that is just for guys. It’s common for women to have a portrait or boudoir shoot with a photographer - showing her off to her best, perhaps especially for her partner. Dudeoir, is the equivalent, but with an edgy, male twist.
Different Light Photography, based in Glasgow, is the only photographer in Scotland offering a completely customised package just for blokes. This is your chance to impress your other half - and get some stunning portraits and wall art that is unique, personal, and totally you.
Dudeoir by Different Light Dudeoir shoots are tailored to you. Locations including some of Glasgow’s top hotels can be booked*, but we also recommend shooting in your home. Your own environment is where you are most at ease - and that’s what you want to convey in dudeoir portraits. They’re meant to show you at your very best.

What is Dudeoir?

Dudeoir, by it’s most common use is male boudoir photography. But, Different Light doesn’t believe it’s limited to that niche market at all. Dudeoir from Different Light, is very much contemporary male portraiture – and can encompass a range of different styles.
Absolutely not! Though, you might find that’s what your partner wants! Fully clothed, topless, or go Calvin Klein style - your choice, always. A lot will depend on the location you choose - whether that is in your home, a luxury hotel suite, or out on location.
But I’m not an adonis? Being a buff, super-toned, gym bunny appeals to some. It doesn’t appeal to everyone. It makes no odds if your abs are as solid as a washboard, or you’re carrying a few extra pounds. This is about you, not a stereotype. Portraits are personal, and unique to every individual.

Box Frame
This is the definitive option, chosen by Different Light as our favourite print product for our clients. Printed on sheet aluminium, and presented on a floating frame, it is utterly unique, gives an almost 3D quality to the image, and is nothing short of stunning to see on your wall.
A gorgeous, contemporary product taking a high quality photographic print, bonding it on solid MDF and finishing the product with textured, durable edging in a range of stylish finishes. The print surface is finished with an ultra-clear acrylic coating. Available in a wide range of sizes.
A contemporary alternative to a traditional framed print. A wide range of edge finishes, and a 2� frame profile really make it stand out on your wall. The image sits level with the top of the frame, giving a wonderful image box look - and sits flush with your wall.

Alumini Print
Edge Print
Four options are available for the Alumini Print. The gloss finish, is especially suited to highly vibrant colour images. Satin is available for those who want a slightly less reflective surface. Both finishes can be enhanced with a subtle brushed texture.
Available in a range of thicknesses, the default is 18mm, although 12mm, 14mm, and 20mm are available as options. Lustre, Gloss or Metalic prints are available. We favour the stunning Metallic print. Edging is available in black, aluminium, white, light and dark woods to suit your decor.
Box Frame The print can be Lustre or Metallic, with either a Satin or Gloss laminate finish. Frame styles include black, wenge, beech, oak, gold, silver, bronze, gunmetal or white, to suit almost any decor.
Print Pricing The table opposite shows pricing for a selection of available products. Dudeoir portraits are available on any of these products at any time as additional purchases when booking a Dudeoir Package Shoot (M, L or XL), or available for a Dudeoir Custom Package.
Please note all print products are bespoke, one-off items and must be paid for in advance. Typically, your print products will be delivered to you in 7-10 working days. * Not all print options available are shown in the tables opposite - these are the most commonly requested sizes and finishes. Not all images will suit these standard offerings, so please enquire for additional options - there are almost limiitless presentation options for your Dudeoir portraits!

Shoot Rates We offer a four basic “packages” for Dudeoir, which include your shoot fees, post processing, selected print products and a selection of digital images you can share across your social media profiles. Dudeoir Custom is for those clients who want a custom choice of products.
