'Thank you' party at Harkin Property

F

RANCES Harkin held a ‘Thank you’ party for Harkin Property Trentham’s clients, Harkin team, support team, business connections, tradies and the Trentham and surrounds community on the first day of spring, September 1.

Frances had just purchased a portrait of potato farming identity Mary Walsh by local artist Al Dickerson, at the Hairy Arch auction at the Pig and Whistle Hotel – with the portrait to become the template for the party invitations. Supplies came from local wineries, Daylesford and Hepburn Mineral Springs Co’s mineral water and canapés from The Plough with the showstopper a cake in a shape of a Trentham miner’s cottage complete with a Harkin Property “SOLD” board. About 180 people attended the party – which also celebrated three years since Frances took over the business from her mentor and former owner John Fitzgerald. Frances expressed gratitude in her speech "Thank you for being here and celebrating the success of Harkin as we near our third year. I personally feel this success is in our people and our connection to the community."
