H ow’s it going Key Club? My name is Mary Jane Bautista one of the editors for Durango Key club, serving the term for 2021 - 2022. This month of November, many of the recent events have given me the opportunity to learn many new things, especially during the Regional Training Conference. A lot of the advice that was given has helped me organize my thoughts better, and it has allowed me to improve my leadership skills. I hope many others have found this to be a good learning experience and have learned as much as did.

H ow do you feel Blazers?! I’m Brandon Dadis, and I proudly serve as your Key Club President for the 2021-2022 term. Hope you all are feeling great as we head into this month of November! These past few weeks have been pretty exciting with all the activities we just held, and we have a lot more in store this month from club socials to fundraisers. Somi Somi was great! It was nice having a fundraiser with an amazing ice cream place. My friends went together and we were went around the plaza as well. It was nice knowing that we were supporting Durango Key Club! - Brandon Dadis
It was really fun to cheer on the runners at Making Strides and spend time with other members. It felt very invigorating to be able to support such strong women and men. It was nice to be able to cheer them on and be a part of such an amazing experience that empowers people who have been through so much.

Haunted Harvest was such a fun event! It was great getting to see all the costumes! Our group helped out with creating “Monster Spray” for the participants, which was made up of fragrance and water in a bottle. It was fun seeing how sweet the reactions were!
- Rishelle Cruz I really had fun at the Haunted Harvest! I got to make a new friend. My favorite part was seeing how excited the kids got about the candy. I learned to enjoy volunteering more because seeing the joy on the kids’ faces made it all worth it.

DCM this month took place at our school, and it was definitely a cool experience! I enjoyed setting up halloween decorations and bonding with the members as we planned out all the details. The most memorable part was definitely the motion sensor spider that spooked some members, including myself!

Although RTC was virtual, it was still nice! I learned a lot from the workshops especially the one about college. It was funny interacting with all the other schools virtually, it reminded of me of last school year. My favorite part was when they revealed the T-Shirt design. I gained so many followers and met so many people!
- Brandon Dadis As my first RTC, I found the event really insightful. Although it would’ve been fun in-person, the online workshops provided me with a lot of information, and I enjoyed watching the cheers from different schools in our division!
