H ey Key-clubbers! It’s your lovable editor, Amber Altamira, back to keep you updated on all the events this February! It’s the month of love and there is nothing I love more than Key Club ;)! I have been most excited for our new 2021-2022 Key Club Shirt that I’ve been designing with the board for the past month. I hope you have filled out the interest form (check our linktree in our Instagram’s bio!) so we can get you your very own cool Durango Key Club merch, featuring our cute Zenit-seamonkey inspired by Demon Slayer! I have to bring President Brandon his tissues now. Till then, I’ll see you guys around! Lots of love,

Hi Key-uties! This is Brandon Dadis your favorite Key Club President! I hope you all are doing amazing! I hope you were feeling loved-up this past month. If not, just know you’ve stolen my heart. <3 As usual I would like to thank you all for supporting Key Club! You all make my key club experience much more memorable! As I start nearing the end of my term, I’ll try not to cry as much but that’s not guaranteed. Thank you again and I’m sending you my love! This month of February, we participated in events from in-school activities such as the at home basketball game, to one of our biggest events—LVL UP Expo! During the Basketball game, we cheered on our varsity boys’ basketball team against Bishop Gorman. In the same week, we stayed after-school with our hard working tech lady, Ms. Lemons, to help prep the computer labs and pack up old chromebooks. A bit later in the month, a handful of our board attended Conclave at Green Valley High School, and we are happy to congratulate our LTG-elect for the incoming 2022-2023 term, Jessica Ryn! Ending off the month strong, our members volunteered at the highly anticipated LVL UP Expo in which they were assigned to specific events that best suited their skills. Many of our members were able to garner several service hours for this past month of February.

“Cheering on our school’s basketball team was an exciting experience. With every point scored by our home team, my friends and I were waving around our pompoms and chanting the cheers we learned from our meeting earlier in the day. Our Fall Rally skills really came through!” - Amber Altamira

“This experience helped me learn to put together monitors, and how hard it is to do on a daily. Also, I enjoyed the company of people helping each other. Since we were dealing with monitors, we had to be very careful with it. And it's cool that we were allowed to help with the monitors, since we are students handling with very fragile equipment. But it was fun, and would do it again.” - Mono Ines

“Conclave was a fun experience! We were able to not only see other Key Clubbers in our division, but also throughout the whole region. Seeing our candidates run for LTG was inspiring as it showed how many people love key club enough to take on an integral role in this club. It was nice seeing everyone after a while!”

- Brandon Dadis

“It was so interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes in the panels department and learn more about what the staff members have to do! I think my experience was also great this year since I got to work in the same department as most of my friends! It’s definitely an event I’d want to come back to!” - Rishelle Cruz
