Habricks Architects in a Salem based multi disciplinary architectural firm founded by highly creative architects with sustainability factors. We have a technology driven thought process which a strong belief in fundamentals concepts. We always tend to keep it simple and easy which makes the spaces more interesting. At the same time more contemporary thinking helps us solve more basic problems and giving them a new way of designs. Simple lines and 90 degree are more of our language .
PROJECT TYPE : RESIDENTIAL PROJECT AREA:2400SQ.FT Brick’Hive - Is a residential project wich in located in the suburban region of salem. With empty plots nearby we tried to reduce the temprature inside the building by allowing the existing wind flow to entre the building through big openings . We tried to reduce the heat inside the building by introducing more clay based material such as exposed brick works and filler slabs this helped us to reduce the temperature inside the building and the 16’*6’ opening in the ceiling helped as a natural vent to release the hot air into the atmosphere

ONGOING PROJECTS : D’HOUSE PROJECT TYPE :RESIDENTIAL SITE AREA: 950 SQ.FT TOTAL BUILTUP : 2300 SQ.FT D’HOUSE - Is a residential project wich in located URBAN region of salem. With row houseing without any set backs near by was a challenging plot for us because it was a 950sq.ft land area we have fit in 3bedrooms with a central courtyard and a car park with ground plus one floor struc ture with a mezzanine level.
The Brick House, in Salem is designed for a Tropical climate, the site is surrounded with coconut, palm trees and further surrounded by Jarugumalai .Major cultivation around the site is Oleander flowers. The site is situated behind huge bamboo plantation, which we tried to incorporate the views. The design is open to natural light and cool from air currents constantly streaming in and out through the clay.

2'-6.00" 12'-6.00" 3' 3' In this House , Thinnai becomes a main place of connectivity to the surroundings ,with huge bamboos in front of the house, this space acts as a semi open environment. Inspired from old dwelling in villages. The areas in front of the house is treated as a family recreational space, with existing bamboos. We are creating a natural pond so that the air around can pick up moisture before it enters the house.

JOOS BUNNY
PROJECT TYPE :COMMERCIAL SITE AREA: 500 SQ.FT JOOS BUNNY, in Salem is a unconventional juice bar which serves fresh and healthy juices throughout the season. We did a contemporary style juice bar with earthy material finish in the interiors to conect to the nature that provides us with the fruits and a bold exterior co lour to attract people, since it is located in the foothills of yercaud the extrior space is desifned in such a way that early morning people who who walk and cycle through the foothills can take a break at this health based juice joint.
