CHATTERBOX Staying Connected With Your Classmates THE SWELL ’40s 1944 – JAMES EDWARDS remains a proud Shamrock after 77 years! He recently met distant family members and CC students Max Ziegler ’17 and his brother Ben ’19 at a family wedding, where he reminisced about his days at CC on Belmont Avenue.

He is also a volunteer coach and first grade religion teacher, is involved in a number of philanthropic foundations, and has served as the president of the St. Louis County Bar Association. 1977 – JOE LUTHER recently traveled to Iceland with his daughter, Stephanie. Both are interested in geology and anthropology. They wanted to see the fire and the ice and stand at the exact spot where the Atlantic Ocean is widening with North America to the left and Europe to the right.

THE PSYCHEDELIC ’60s 1966 – JIM BLAINE has published a book, A Rope of Sand: Resurrecting the Stories, People and Events that Created the Confederacy, which chronicles the 30 years leading up to the Civil War. The book is available on Amazon Books, Booknackrh, and Peach Media. He hopes to have it available on Kindle in the near future. 1969 – TOM SKLUT and his daughter Anna recently walked 85 miles of the Camino de Santiago (the Way of St. James) pilgrimage in northwest Spain. They traveled the Portuguese Route along the Atlantic Ocean. The Camino de Santiago is a large network of ancient pilgrim routes stretching across Europe and coming together at the tomb of
1971 – FR. DAN JONES was recently appointed Pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Detroit. 1973 – DR. PAUL DIRKES published an article of historical fiction in the American Benedictine Academy Newsletter. The article, Jesus and the Stone, is a new interpretation of the Magdala Stone found in the Synagogue of Magdala in Galilee. 1975 – BRUCE HILTON was recently appointed Circuit Judge for St. Louis County by Missouri governor Eric Greitens. Bruce has been litigating in the St. Louis area for more than 30 years.
