2. Online Learning – Guidance for Pupils Online Lessons Luckley Online will follow the same timetable as Luckley Onsite. This means there is no change to when lessons are, so follow your usual timetable. Lessons will be about10 minutes shorter to allow you some breathing space, moments away from the screen and a chance to log into your next lesson in good time. Your lessons will be live on Teams, but this doesn’t mean you will be staring at the screen for 50 minutes every lesson. You might find that your teachers will take a register at the start of the lesson and greet you – please have your cameras on, but mics off! You may then find, as in the onsite lessons, that your teacher spends approximately 20 minutes or so explaining work to you and then you may be given a task to do. This task may be on screen, in your books, on paper or in groups - even if you are ‘sent off’ to complete a task your teacher will remain in the lesson with you, waiting to help you and take your questions. They will always bring you all back together again at the end of a lesson to check that all is well, that you understand and also to give you your prep as appropriate. You must please stay in your lessons until you are dismissed. Every Luckley Online lesson will be slightly different, just as lessons would be with Luckley Onsite. Any live streamed, recorded or pre-recorded lessons will be posted on Microsoft Teams on the conversation/posts page. If you choose to handwrite your work, you can scan this in and upload it by using Microsoft Lens or by taking a photograph of your work. As long as you are fit and healthy you will be expected to attend all live lessons. If you are unwell or absent for some reason, your parents must please report your absence to reception. Registers will be taken and Heads of Year will follow up absences by contacting home. If circumstances do not allow you to watch a live lesson, then please do watch the recording which will be posted on Teams. This will also enable you to review it again later as revision if you wish.
