Songbirds come to sing in April and May while woodpeckers are on hand to lend their percussive beats. While Northrup is also a good place to spot kestrals, hawks, falcons and owls, it is the Bald Eagles that lure birders. The best time to spot them is between November and March from midafternoon to dark. A viewing vantage point is a short walk from the parking/restroom area. Walk past the gate and then look for the pathway that heads off to your left. 10
