C.U.R.V.V. is the first fashion exhibition to highlight full-figured high fashion. The subsequent short film shows a plus-size model’s struggle to suppress insecurities while perusing her lifelong dream. The goal is to reestablish ChaCha N’Kole as a high fashion gown designer, introduce Ace Blakley by ChaCha N’Kole as a ready-to-wear powerhouse and to empower women and men in a world of insecurities and chaos to accomplish goals no matter the obstacles they are faced with.
A unique autumn evening commences at the CandyCoated Center as we screen-print our tour attire and have of seasonal toast signature ‘Jazzmarnier Ice Cream Hot Toddies’. Then we’ll ‘wanderlust’ about to spots full of historic tidbits, all along the way bumping into colorfully ethereal characters. The evening culminates in a flash gathering at dusk in Independence Park. Wondrous tricks of the eyes and ears amplify the vibrational spirit of an ancient creek with symbiotic composing from Data Garden. Each ‘tourist’ learns how to screen print a T-shirt (yours to keep) and gets a protective talisman, digital photo with a spirit, delish beverage and light snacks designed by chef Tony Aiazzi. This project was conceived of and organized by cultural entrepreneur Candy Coated (aka Candy Depew) in association with and featuring contemporarians: Jon Shapiro, Data Garden, Little Baby’s Ice Cream, Jaclyn Garvey- graphic design, and Andrew Geller- video documentarian.
