Extraordinary Playscapes Imagination Needs Places to Thrive Enjoy Extraordinary Playscapes, a free exhibition showcasing the art, history, science, and importance of play, featuring design stories behind international playgrounds, interactive experiences, and a playable installation. From towering treetop playgrounds to hand-knit crochet installations, visitors will discover how designers translate play objectives into stateof-the-art and meaningful outdoor environments. Take the full tour with this Playground Passport. We’re highlighting local play spaces and creating some new ones as well! Our kiosk at the Riverwalk tells the story behind a brand new playscape, the very first metal PlayCubes installation brought to Chicago by Playworld in collaboration with Richard Dattner and the Design Museum Foundation.
