Bearsted The Chimes is an exclusive development tucked away in the idyllic location of Bearsted. Bearsted is steeped in history and still remains a rural village whilst benefiting from a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and sporting clubs. The cricket ground is one of the oldest in Kent and a plaque in the memory of Alfred Mynn who pioneered over arm bowling stands at the edge of the green. Leeds Castle is one of the area’s many historic attractions and hosts gala events throughout the year. The area has excellent educational facilities for all age groups. Roseacre Junior School and Madingford Infants and Junior School is within short walking distance while Maidstone’s highly respected boys and girls grammar school is only two and half miles away. Bearsted railway station is a short walking distance and offers direct train services to London with a journey time of just over an hour. Bearsted has excellent road links and the M20 is just two miles from the village providing routes to the motorway networks and beyond via the ferry ports of Dover and Folkstone. Regular bus links are also a few minutes walk from the development. The nearby Maidstone town centre offers a wide range of facilities including a multiplex cinema, fitness clubs, entertainment venues and the newly constructed Fremlin Walk provides the ideal shopping experience in a traffic free environment.
