LABEL DESIGN

THE PROJECT: To design a round label for Poll’s Herring and Dips. THE SOLUTION: These 2 options were given to the client- the first one giving an upscale, fresh, and up-to-date look. The sharp green color gives it a natural and fresh feel and the abstract but clean typography is very unique. The second option is more fun, illustrative, and child friendly.

BOOK COVERS

THE PROJECT: To design a book cover for the book “Silent Storms” published by Israel Bookshop Publications. THE SOLUTION: After reading the novel to get a good understanding of the book, I designed these 4 options. I designed each one focusing on an important element/idea of the story.

ADVERTISING

THE PROJECT: To design an advertising campaign for Strong Kids to encourage children to eat healthy. THE SOLUTION: I came up with the idea of incorporating fruits and vegetables with the benefits of a child eating healthy. When a child would see this attractive ad, he’d subconsciously think “Hey! I want to be strong like that- time for some broccoli!” Using exciting contrasting colors and fun imagery, the message is strong and effective.

ADVERTISING

THE PROJECT: To design an ad for the kid’s section in Lord and Taylor. THE SOLUTION: This natural and magical feel is just what I was hoping to achieve. I created this background using multiple cloud brushes, sticking to a pink palette to keep it youthful and fresh looking. The reflection of the girl finishes the effect.

ADVERTISING ADVERTISING

THE PROJECT: To design an advertising campaign for The Patch Boys, a company that specializes in repairing holes in houses. THE SOLUTION: When I got this project my first thought was, “Help! How in the world will I get creative with a company like this?” This idea eventually popped into my head. The message is very unique and out of the box, making the viewer look at it twice.

THE PROJECT: To design a series of ads for The Patch Boys. THE SOLUTION: For these ads, I was asked to be more informative than creative. This nice and clean layout brings out the message clearly.

THE PROJECT: To create a chocolate bar to put alongside a thank you gift. THE SOLUTION: Chocolate bars are always fun to get. When personalized, they take on a whole new level. This is one of the many chocolate bars I’ve designed in the past. I chose fun colors and cute illustrations, keeping to the theme of summer.

GAME/BOX

THE PROJECT: To illustrate a game box for Smart Kids and pizza logo/box for Adios Pizza. THE SOLUTION: Ah! There’s nothing like creating things from scratch! This game was designed with a small child in mind. The challenge here was to make an educational game look exciting. With this inviting illustration, it did the job. The pizza box was for a Mexican Pizza Company. The font and colors chosen give a Mexican feel.

BRANDING

THE PROJECT: To design a logo, illustration, and t-shirt for BYDC, a day camp, with the theme of “Live it. Love it THE SOLUTION: This fun logo with summery colors was chosen from the many choices I gave. It was used for sweatshirts, aprons, papers, etc. I was also asked to illustrate a girl wearing their t-shirt for them to hang on the wall in camp.

BRANDING

THE PROJECT: To design a logo, menu, and branding set for Artisan Restaurant. THE SOLUTION: The swashy typography combined with the piano/fork icon shows the style of the restaurant, making people see that it’s the perfect place for relaxation in an upscale environment. The menu has elements of the logo incorporated into each section, bringing out the branding of the store. The color red stimulates the appetite, generally causing customers to spend more money.

& MENU DESIGN

BRANDING

THE PROJECT: To design a logo for Hair by Rivky. THE SOLUTION: This logo is feminine and stylish, yet at the same time cute and friendly. It appeals to all ages, especially teenage girls, their target audience.

THE PROJECT: To design a logo for C1234tive, a company that helps inventors take their ideas to the next level. THE SOLUTION: The main challenge of this logo was to spell out “c1234tive” in a way that’s easily read as “creative”. After trying many different fonts and styles, this one worked very nicely with some adjustments. I rotated the 2 and flipped the 3 to make the word more readable... This logo represents the idea of thinking, inventing, and creating.

STATIONERY

THE PROJECT: To design an office supplies set, including a looseleaf, notebook, and mouse pad. THE SOLUTION: I created a monochromatic palette of a soft purple color and based the stationery on it. The pleasant, soft tones give a relaxing feeling.

THE PROJECT: To design a brochure for Duggal Visual Solutions, a printing company. THE SOLUTION: This design is simple but effective. Cyan, magenta, and yellow colors are used a lot throughout the brochure, bringing out the printing aspect of the company. The fun colors make the brochure vibrant and exciting.

BROCHURE

PACKAGING

THE PROJECT: To design a packaging for Astor Chocolate in 3 flavors. THE SOLUTION: Designing a packaging is different than most other projects. A packaging in a store stands right near it’s competitors products and the goal is to make it stand out. This nice and clean packaging with colors representing the flavors makes you want to pull the chocolates off the shelves.

THE PROJECT: To design an exhibition poster, tribute to Paul Rand, and use his style of designing. THE SOLUTION: Paul Rand was a designer that believed in the beauty of simplicity and contrast. I feel the same way about design so copying his style didn’t make the outcome of this poster too different than any of my other designs. I used one of his favorite clean fonts, applied strong contrasting colors, and placed him alongside a large letter to show contrast.

CD COVERS

THE PROJECT: To design CD covers for Mezei Music & Productions. THE SOLUTION: The client, a composer of songs, asked for a clean but electric look. I stuck to a white background to keep it clean. For the first one, I created the brush stroke around the guitar to give it an electric feel. The second CD cover has an abstract look, while combination of the watercolor background blended into small words gives it a light and airy feel.

WORD ART

THE PROJECT: To design typographic postcards for Letraset. THE SOLUTION: The first set of postcards creatively show the meaning of the word within the word itself. The second set has patterns, each created using a single letter of the alphabet.

EMAIL MARKETING

THE PROJECT: To design email blasts that gear to advertisers of the Binah Magazine. THE SOLUTION: The first message is sharp and clear, encouraging store owners to advertise in the Binah Magazine before the summer season so that people will buy their products before they leave for vacation. The second blast advertises their BBQ issue.

EMAIL MARKETING

MAGAZINE

THE PROJECT: To design an article and a table of contents for Family Fun Magazine. THE SOLUTION: I went for a clean but fun style so that the magazine appeals to both adults and children.

PHOTOSHOP

THE PROJECT: Photo editing. THE SOLUTION: Photoshop is a very powerful program. With time, skill, and accuracy, almost everything is possible! Here’s some photo manipulation I did. I took the muzzle off the horse, colored the black and white image, and replaced the fruit in the hands.

THE PROJECT: To design something “out of the box” with Photoshop. THE SOLUTION: Anything more out of the box than this? Because I wasn’t tied down to rules for this one, it was especially fun to create. This design was submitted to an online Photoshop contest and it won 2nd place!
