New art gallery concept developed by art collectors for collectors

J

ack McLaine, the owner of Re-View Art, first developed the idea for this business concept seven years ago. Jack overheard a collector telling someone that they wished to purchase a painting that they had found, but, they had no more room in their home, or in their budget, without selling something that they currently had. The gallery owner explained to Jack and his wife Lisa that this was a common issue with avid collectors. And, there was not a truly viable marketplace for these collectors to sell their art and receive a fair percentage of its true value. This Jack McLaine, owner of became the seed for developing the Re-View Art Re-View art in Palm Desert Secondary Art Market business. Re-View Art is structured with a minimalist style that is reflected in its loftlike gallery setting. The bright and airy environment elegantly displays a large collection of contemporary art. The gallery has paintings, sculptures, and glass art by prominent American and European artists. Re-View Art is located in the warehouse district of Palm Desert at The Art Place, 41-801 Corporate Way, Suite 13, Palm Desert, CA 92211. 760-904-4126. DESERT

Heritage Festival March 29, 2014

Coachella Valley History Museum The Festival follows the tradition established many years ago by the Coachella Valley Historical Society and Coachella Valley History Museum. While the site of the Festival is in Old Towne Indio, the Museums’ archives and displays represent historical places, people, and events of the entire Coachella Valley. The vision of the 2014 Festival is to bring to life the significant cultures of settlers in the valley as well as a peek at life in the early 1900’s in the desert. See demonstrations of weaving, quilting, woodworking, blacksmithing and other day-today activities of early desert life. All history museums in the Coachella Valley and Idyllwild are invited to join the “History Highway”. The museum booths will be set up in a “chain” so that visitors can get an overview of other places that interpret the history of individual cities throughout the valley. A ” History Highway” map will be provided that shows locations and contact information for each museum.

The Museum is located at 82-616 Miles Avenue, Indio, CA.760.342.6651
