In addition, Assisted Living By Hillcrest owns and operates Assisted Living/ CBRF Course Training Center located at their main office in East De Pere. They believe providing compassionate, personalized care is of utmost importance, and it begins with proper caregiver training and staffing. Assisted Living/CBRF Course Training is offered to individuals, groups or companies interested in a training program for their own staff. On-site training is available. State mandated courses include Standard Precautions, First Aid and Choking, Fire Safety and Medication Management and Administration (for those choosing to pass medications). They also offer training in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care through the Dementia Live Program. Courses are taught by the licensed Training Specialist and all participants will be eligible for the State registry upon passing the State test. Dementia Live is an empowering event for everyone–friends, family members, caregivers, students, healthcare professionals and business owners Dementia Live offers a unique inside-out understanding of dementia and aging through a simulated experience. Participants will gain a heightened awareness of the challenges faced by those who live with dementia, and learn valuable tips to improve communication.
