A Guide on How to Troubleshoot the General Issues of Dell Printer

Print out a configuration report from the printer.

Step-7 Open the multipurpose tray (Tray 1) by pulling the handle down that is available on the front of the machine. Place the large gray roller in the center of the tray.
Step-8 Close Tray 1. Open up Tray 2 until it reaches its maximum extension. Raise it up a little and pull it from machine. On the front of the tray is a white roller.
Step-9 Look beneath the printer surface in the area where the paper tray usually fixed. Under the frame, you will find there is another roller, drop that roller down and clean it properly fix it back up when cleaning finished.
Step-10
Press the up or down arrows on the control panel to scroll down to "Troubleshooting" and then press the "OK" button.
Step-11 Use the arrows again to scroll down to "Print Quality Problems," and press the "OK" button again. If you are facing lighter stripes or lines coming down the prints, then make use of arrows to scroll down to "Eliminate Light Stripes," and then press the "OK" button.
Step-12
You have to run this for two or three times to remove the stripes. If you have print smears, scroll down instead to "Remove Print Smears," and press the "OK" button
