The City Palace is a magnificent palace complex located in the heart of Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, India. It is a remarkable blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles and serves as the residence of the royal family of Jaipur. The palace complex is a major tourist attraction and offers visitors a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the erstwhile rulers of the region. The construction of the City Palace began in the early 18th century and continued over several generations, resulting in a diverse architectural ensemble.

The palace complex is spread over a vast area and consists of several buildings,courtyards, gardens,and museums.One of the highlights of the City Palace is the Mubarak Mahal, or the Welcome Palace, which served as the reception area for the royal guests. It now houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh IIMuseum, which exhibits a remarkable collection of royal costumes, weapons, artefacts, and artworks. Adjacent to the Mubarak Mahal is the Diwan-i-Khas, or the Hall of Private Audience, where the rulers held private meetings and discussions. It is an intricately decorated hall with beautiful arches, marble columns, and a stunning ceiling adorned with mirrors and gold work.
