3 QUALITY AND CONSTRUCTION
• Every piece of furniture in our product line is constructed with the highest-grade materials available. We use furniture-grade maple plywood for the majority of our products. This 3/4” veneer provides additional product integrity and strength, adding to the life of our product. • We use a catalyzed varnish that is a high-quality, heavy-duty coating - far superior to our competition. • All joints are glued and screwed, then covered with wooden pegs for a more sturdy construction and smooth look. • Our edges are all rounded and sanded smooth for children’s safety and a clean look (E). • We offer pinch-proof door openings in most of our kitchen units to keep small fingers safe (G). • We started using full-length piano hinges twenty years ago and continue to do so because of the added strength to the finished product (C). • Our adjustable shelving units have aluminum tracking and our ceiling hooks are caste aluminum for added strength and durability (A, F). • We use sturdy rubber casters on all our mobile products. Our Teacher Storage Cabinets have 5” solid rubber casters with locks and our Booktrucks have 5” double-plastic wheels with locks. All casters are secured in place with either four screws or four bolts, depending on the size of the caster (D). • Wrap-around hinges on our Computer Cabinets allow the doors to swing all the way back and stay out of the way (H). • Cam locks are standard on our Computer Cabinets, AV Cabinets, Teacher Storage units and more (B). • All our products are manufactured to Woodworking Institute of California (W.I.C.) standards or better.

FOLD AND ROLL STORAGE UNITS All your storage needs will be met with our great selection of fold and roll storage units! These units are completely mobile and have generous storage space for all your classroom supplies. They can be folded together and locked to create a secure classroom storage unit. Our units are constructed with 3/4” maple plywood with 1/4“ hardwood for the backing. We use heavy-duty rounded locking hasps, heavy-duty swivel casters, full-length piano hinges, full-width kick space underneath, catalyzed varnish, rounded edges and all joints are screwed and glued to provide you with the highest quality fold and rolls available in the market.

The driver can use our functional phone to communicate with passengers at the rear of the coach. Kids can enter and exit from the front, back or one of the two side openings. Two outfacing seats in front add to the realism of this cable car. It rests on it’s own attached track for permanent and level installation and has a galvanized steel roof for years of play. B. SCHOOL BUS This bright yellow school bus provides hours of fun as kids pretend to drive to and from school or anywhere else their imaginations take them! Stand up driver can deliver up to 12 passengers. Entrances on both sides, as well as the rear make passenger loading safe and easy. C. LARGE PLAYHOUSE This big beautiful playhouse is another Defoe original! It has a full-width table, two benches, two sinks and stoves, shelving and a big open doorway for easy access. The sink features a durable stainless steel bowl that is permanently attached with hot and cold faucet knobs that actually turn. The stove has raised burners and simulated knobs so kids will feel like they are really cooking up something good. Expect hours of enjoyment and fun playing in our unique and realistic playhouse. An 8’ x 8’ x 4’ foundation provides strength and stability and ties this ruggedly constructed house together for years of use.
