FROM YOUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Welcome to Collegiate DECA’s International Career Development Conference. Washington, D.C., is a great site for you to celebrate your achievements, test your skills and network with over 2,000 DECA members and sponsors. Collegiate DECA members, advisors and business partners accepted the challenge to MAKE IT COUNT in 2013-14 by setting ambitious goals for engagement, membership and community involvement. The results have been extraordinary. Historic membership and conference participation levels, outstanding community service projects and incredible engagement across our social media platforms are great achievements to be celebrated. Collegiate DECA student leaders, advisors and business partners have championed our organization with enthusiasm and dedication. Each of us should thank them for their engagement and support. As I transition into retirement and the next phase of my life’s journey, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to have had the opportunity to spend my career in such an incredible organization. As a student, chapter advisor, association advisor and executive director, I’ve been blessed by my association with outstanding leaders at every level of our organization. No career could have been more rewarding than mine.
