DECA AMPED provides teachers and DECA advisors the education, knowledge and inspiration to ignite their instruction. Focused on improving teaching and learning, the conference is packed with great ideas and learning strategies for teachers to bring their classrooms to life, push their members to excel in DECA’s Comprehensive Learning Program, maximize hands-on learning with school-based enterprises and position their chapter for success. Continuing education units (CEUs) are offered.

INSIGHT + CHAPTER PACKETS
A highlight of the International Career Development Conference, DECA’s Advisor Academy is designed to help DECA advisors understand their various roles, as well as how DECA’s Comprehensive Learning Program integrates into classroom instruction, applies learning, connects to business and promotes competition.
Professional development activities are provided at educational conferences, focusing on helping teachers integrate DECA into classroom instruction, apply learning, connect business and promote competition.
DECA Insight provides professional development articles to help advisors use components of the DECA Comprehensive Learning Program in the classroom. DECA Insight is delivered four times a year in chapter packets that include tools such as DECA’s business partner poster series and classroom resources.
TRAIN THE TRAINER CERTIFICATION COURSE
E-LEARNING
The Train the Trainer Certification Course is designed to prepare key leaders of chartered associations to effectively deliver presentations and new content useful to DECA local chapter advisors. Certified trainers are equipped to facilitate workshops within their associations using best practices, teacher and student learning activities, resource materials and evaluation tools.
DECA Inc.’s E-Learning component of the Professional Learning Series contains free live and archived webinars, Google+ Hangouts, modules from selected face-to-face learning opportunities and other educational materials.
DECA EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIPS DECA offers professional development scholarships to advisors for use at professional development conferences providing continuing education credit (CEU) in their field. The postmark deadline for applications is March 6, 2017. 27
