Création de produits pour le bien-être. Deca est un fabricant pionnier au Brésil, en tant que division du groupe Duratex Group, ITAUSA S.A. Depuis 1947, la société continue à investir et à croître afin de satisfaire la demande locale, régionale et internationale de composantes sanitaires et connexions métalliques de qualité pour approvisionner la grandissante industrie du bâtiment. Deca se consacre au développement de produits respectueux de l’environnement ayant une haute efficacité, qualité et design. Notre portefeuille de produits est composé de 1.200 éléments de composantes sanitaires (porcelaine vitrifiée et argile calcinée) et de 5.000 connexions métalliques, proposant une grande quantité de choix pour nos clients du monde entier. Actuellement, la société exporte dans plus de 20 pays et est constamment à la recherche d’autres marchés. Deca dispose de quatre usines au Brésil et une en Argentine. Le groupe a atteint une production nationale de 11,5 millions de pièces de connexion métalliques et de 7 millions de pièces de porcelaine vitrifiée et de l’argile calcinée par an. Deca est certifié ISO 9001 / 2000 et dispose d’un effectif de 4 mille fonctionnaires. La constante recherche porté sur le design a permis à Deca d’être récompensé 4 fois consécutives avec un des plus grands prix de design dans le monde: l’IF Design Awards, de Hanovre - Allemagne. L’un de ces prix a été reçu par le WC avec système de drainage. De plus, Deca a une très bonne réputation auprès des architectes et des bâtisseurs de la scène brésilienne, et participe à plusieurs expositions dans son domaine d’activité.

Creating products for the welfare. Deca, as a division of Duratex Group, ITAUSA S.A. holding has been a pioneering manufacturer in Brazil since 1947. For 62 years the company has continued to invest and expand its manufacturing base with the aim of serving both the local, regional and international demand for quality sanitary ware and metal fittings. The company is focused on developing green products, which are then produced with the highest efficiency, quality and design standards. Our portfolio of products currently comprises 1,200 items of sanitary ware (vitreous china and fire clay) and 5,000 items of metal fittings. The company exports to more than 30 countries and is looking for new markets constantly. The national production levels have achieved over 11,5 million pieces of metal fittings and seven million pieces of vitreous china and fire clay annually. This production operates under a certified ISO 9001 / 2000 regime and a team of four thousand employees, and four Brazilian factories. The constant quest for innovative design has made Deca the 4 times consecutive winner of one of the most prestigious design prizes in the world â&#x20AC;&#x201C; iF Design Awards â&#x20AC;&#x201C; Germany. One of these prizes was for the concealed drain basin. Furthermore, Deca has developed a great reputation of quality and design among architects and builders in the Brazilian marketplace, promoting awards and exhibitions.

En harmonie avec la nature. En phase avec le positionnement des entreprises du groupe ITAUSA, Deca applique les concepts du développement durable à ses processus de développement, à sa production et à aux services. La société investit considérablement dans des programmes et des projets de protection environnemental et de responsabilité sociale. L’utilisation efficace des ressources naturelles est une stratégie corporative, employé dans toutes les démarches de la société, y compris celle liée à la production de panneaux en bois reconstituée. La société conserve plus de 120 mille hectares de forêts avec gestion forestière certifiée par le FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) et son système de management environnemental est certifié par la norme ISO l400l. Les pratiques de gestion environnementale nous ont permis de répertorier les émissions de gaz à l’effet de serre, en conséquence les activités industrielles de la société n’émettent pas de carbone dans l’atmosphère. Ce répertoire a aussi été utilisé comme base pour la construction du projet de crédits de carbone approuvé par le CCX (Chicago Climate Exchange). L’entreprise contribue également en fournissant de données au CDP- Carbon Disclosure Project – une initiative qui cherche à recueillir des données corporatives relatives aux impacts du changement climatique. De plus, les produits Deca sont composés en grande partie de matériaux originaires du recyclage de métaux: soit 45% de matériaux qui proviennent du recyclage de la pré-consommation et 15% de l’après-consommation.

In syntony with nature. Aligned with the positioning of the companies of ITAUSA holding, Deca applies the sustainability concepts to its development, production and service processes and significantly invests in environmental protection programs and projects as well as of social responsibility. The efficient use of the natural resources is a corporate strategy, present in all the companyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s actuation fronts among which are those related to production of reconstituted wood panels. The company has more than 120 thousand acres of owned forests, with forest handling certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and environmental administration system certified by ISO 14001. The environmental handling practices allow the inventory of gas emissions that cause the greenhouse gas, enabling the company to confirm that its industrial operations are carbon free. The inventory was also the base for construction of the carbon credit projects approved by the CCX - Chicago Climate Exchange. The company also contributes with the supply of data to the CDP - Carbon Disclosure Project - an initiative for collection of corporate data related to the impacts of the climate exchanges. In addition, the Deca products maintain in their composition a significant quantity of material originated from metal recycling, whereas 45% of the material used originated from preconsumption recycling and 15% of material originated from post-consumption.

Valoriser l’eau. Essentiel pour le bien-être de l’homme, l’eau est une des plus importantes ressources naturelles de la planète. Conscient de ce fait, Deca favorise l’économie de ce bien précieux dans leurs processus de production si bien que dans ses propres produits. Dans ses usines, parmi de nombreuses initiatives visant à promouvoir l’utilisation rationnelle de l’eau, il y a une station de traitement des eaux usées, appelée ZRM (Zone de Récupération de Matériaux). De plus, nos produits aident à réduire la consommation d’eau grâce à leur efficacité et rendement. Ces produits ont fait l’objet de rigoureuses procédures d’évaluation qu’ont donné lieu à une validation suivant les critères du programme Leed (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design). De ce fait, ils sont particulièrement recommandés pour intégrer des projets de Green Buildings où l’utilisation rationnelle de l’eau est obligatoire. De même, la société est membre fondateur du Green Building Council Brazil. Deca maintient également, depuis de nombreuses années, le PURA (Programme d’Utilisation Rationnelle d’Eau), programme où les experts offrent des conseils aux consommateurs afin d’évaluer leur profil de consommation d’eau, d’informer l’efficacité de leur système installé et d’indiquer des améliorations pour réduire la consommation de ce bien non renouvelable.

Valorization of water. Essential for human welfare, water is one of the world’s most important natural resources. Aware of this fact, Deca promotes the saving of this valuable good in its productive processes as well as in its own products. In the company’s plants, among innumerous initiatives in favor of the rational use of water, it is possible to highlight the effluent treatment station called ARM (Área de Recuperação de Materiais - Material Recovery Area), which allows the reuse of water and recovery of mass present in the effluent, minimizing capture of water from public utilities and its disposition. Currently, the average reuse of water is of approximately of 70% of the total treated at the ARM. In another front are the company’s products that help in reducing the water consumption through efficiency. These products go through rigorous assessment processes that were validated under the Leed (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) criteria, resulting in processes highly recommended to integrate Green Buildings projects and other in which the rational use of water is mandatory. And, the company is a founder member of the Green Building Council Brasil. Deca also maintains for several years the PURA (Programa de Uso Racional de Água - Program of Rational Use of Water), a program in which experts offer consultancy services to consumers with the objective to assess the water consumption profile, inform the efficiency of the installed system and indicate enhancements to reduce the consumption of this non-renewable good.
