In this project, we aim to reduce the chances of human error regarding the management of traffic in Railways by devising an automated detection of the arriving traffic towards a particular station. We know, that the Indian Railways serves the heart of transportation mechanism. IR(Indian Railways) runs more than 20,000 passenger trains daily, on both long-distance and suburban routes, from 7,349 stations across India. The trains have a five-digit numbering system. Mail or express trains, the most common types, run at an average speed of 50.6 kilometers per hour (31.4 mph).
This enormous management of the crowd requires a full-proof and errorless procedure that is highly complex in nature. Till date, the Railways use traditional methods that require manual operations starting from the alignment of tracks, till the monitoring of heavy traffic over an area. Therefore in this project, we have devised a suitable, machine-based and cost-effective method that can be highly efficient and work flawlessly during traffic
