This $100 million construction investment in the future of travel features a new 75,300 sq. ft. terminal with a stunning 30-ft. atrium and an all-glass view of the airfield, designed to enhance the passenger experience and accommodate increasing travel demand. The expansion includes five new gates, TSA checkpoint, and a central energy plant to support the new space. The project also features new escalators and modifications to the existing concourse, including the addition of a companion restroom, a mother’s room, upgraded life safety systems, gate podiums, carpeting, and seating.

DeAngelis Diamond led both the pre-construction and construction efforts for the multi-phase Punta Gorda Terminal Expansion project, aimed at significantly increasing the airport’s capacity and operational efficiency. Phase 1, completed in 2016, included the construction of a 40,000 sq.ft. addition and a full remodel of the existing terminal, bringing the total to 57,000 sq.ft.
Building on the success of Phase 1, DeAngelis Diamond is currently executing Phase 2, slated for completion in 2026. This phase encompasses 51,500 sq.ft. of new construction for expanded hold rooms, circulation areas, restrooms, and concessions, along with the renovation of 30,500 sq.ft. of existing terminal space to enhance security and passenger services. Additional scope includes critical infrastructure upgrades, aircraft and rental car facility relocations, a new airport access road, and the construction of an 18,000 sq.ft. rental car facility.
