RSW AIRPORT TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER AND TRACON BUILDING FORT MYERS, FL | $80M | 17,000 sq. ft. RSW Airport’s new traffic control tower will replace the 32-year-old tower that is currently serving the airport. The new tower is a prerequisite to adding a second runway and the new terminal expansion. At 215 feet, the new tower will be almost twice the height and double the size of the one it will replace. The new tower will also bring the airport up to speed on the latest FAA standards for hurricane codes.
LEE COUNTY PORT AUTHORITY CONTINUING SERVICES FORT MYERS, FL | $17M | 155,000 sq. ft. DeAngelis Diamond provides General Construction Manager services inconjunction with the operation, maintenance, and development of RSWand Page Field in Lee Country, Florida. DeAngelis Diamond serves as anextension of staff for a variety of small, medium, and large-size construction related projects.
PUNTA GORDA AIRPORT TERMINAL EXPANSION PUNTA GORDA, FL | $8.9M | 57,500 sq. ft.
PUNTA GORDA AIRPORT TERMINAL EXPANSION This project was completed in 4 phases over a 16-month schedule. Phase 1 included a 40,000 sq. ft. addition tied into the 16,000 sq. ft. remodel of the existing terminal building. Phase 2 was the remodel of the existing 16,000 sq. ft. terminal building for a total terminal area of 57,000 sq. ft. Phase 3 and 4 included an updated conveyor belt system and a new chiller plant. This project was awarded the Summit Award for Best Commercial Project– Public Works.
MARCO ISLAND EXECUTIVE AIRPORT APRON AND PARKING LOT EXPANSION NAPLES, FL | $625,000 Continuing renovations to the Marco Island Airport included site development, terminal apron extension, automobile parking lot, and covered walkways on a threeacre lot. The expanded aircraft apron provides 42,000 sq. ft. of safe aircraft parking and maneuvering space during periods of peak seasonal traffic.
MARCO ISLAND EXECUTIVE AIRPORT TAXI NAPLES, FL | $6M This federally-funded project included the construction of a new one mile taxiway adjacent to the runway, which increases capacity and creates a safer operating environment at the Marco Island Airport. This project was awarded the Sand Dollar Award Best Commercial Contractors Project–Infrastructure.
